Gabby's list of transfer qbs

Haven’t seen anyone mention Avery Johnson out of K State. Around the same stats as Leavitt. He’d be dangerous in the RPO and +1 running game behind our OLine with someone like Fletcher leading the way

Johnson just seems so unwilling to run this year. It’s like he’s gotten too concerned with proving to the NFL that he’s a pocket passer.

I don’t want Avery Johnson trying to be Carson Beck. At that point just go get next year’s Carson Beck.

Nickel or Coleman I think have a pretty good shot, I don’t think we’ll be as lucky as we have been with our transfer QBs and we ain’t scared to play freshmen if they earn it.

**** off buddy.

Kid has impressive tools and had a hot start but he's not even in the top 100 in QBR .... but I guess your "eyes" know better.

Sellers all day.

Yeah he hasn’t looked good this year but who would with Mike Shula as the OC?

With our OL and skill talent he wouldn’t need to Superman the offense every week and at 240lbs he would give run up middle rushing more oomph lol

Yeah Tax him!!! He’s taking too many hits w runs up middle and jet sweeps
It’s not if it’s win he gets an ac joint or worse the way they are playing him

They are playing him like deebo samuel
And Deebo gets hurt all the time
And Toney isn’t built like deebo

It’s DUMB
Been thinking the same. He could be the best decoy in the game, and to keep him from having his wheels knocked off, we should use him as such. Teams WILL key on him, and eventually the hits will stack up on him.

I'm not saying don't get him the ball, but I am saying we can use him in extremely productive ways without him getting hit 30 times a game.

People just run to stats.com while not watching any games then give an opinion.

Your example is dead on. Anyone with a brain knew cam would ball out with an actual OL and run game . DJ’s stats were a mirage because of one he had one of the best run games in college . Most of his passes were off run action or very simple reads because of the threat of the run.

JKS has elite talent and what he’s done as a true Fr is incredible . Being in that horrible situation and still playing well , not getting overwhelmed playing in a P4 conference. You won’t find many true Fr that could do what he’s doing there . On top of that he’s very smart , super talented , great character with tangibles and intangibles. I was also big on Mendoza last year. Smart players that’s accurate tend to be safe bets.

I want the guy who doesn’t get rattled with the initial pass rush and is comfortable in the pocket so he can extend plays.

Bonus if he has any speed/vision as a runner when needed.

Double bonus if he is mature enough to audible out of plays the defense is counting on.
That’s Leavitt

If I could 100% guarantee Sprsby Day 1 of portal or like the 40% chance of getting JKS/Mestemaker/ or whoever we view as the top guy after a week in the portal…. I’d just take Sorsby without question.

Look the major positive is the guy for his career has an elite P2S ratio and Low Turniver worthy play rate. And he looks like he has the arm and natural athleticism to produce well with a great pocket.

LOL at the clowns downplaying JKS

He is the best QB available. He is a true freshman making Cal competitive with legit arm talent.

1. He is at Cal
2. His HC was ***
3. Cal lost all their playmakers(RB,WRs and TE from last year.
4. His Oline is bad

Someone pull out his HLs, the man was playing with bums.

This guy took a game they ran for 450 against Utah and blew the game cause he isn’t good
I didn’t say he was good. He did not blow the game, the coaches and the team blew to the game.

But no matter, he was born and raised in Kansas and has a year remaining at Kansas State. Is already making a lot of money. Why leave for Miami unless they’re going pay a lot more.

There is literally zero world where it would make sense to even think about Avery Johnson as Miamis QB next yr

He’s gotta be the least consistent passer of all the options imo. Idk much about their OC/System but it sucks lol

leavit
jks
rocco becht
mestamaker
hoover
sorsby
sellers
bailey
steve angeli
nico

some interesting names that hadn't been mentioned: angeli, becht, hoover ... earlier in the year i was a hoover fan
Jks railoa nico and Hoover should be the list think mestamaker follows his coach

I'd rather say you are a ****.
You not believing something doesn’t make it a narrative. JKS is arguably the best freshman qb and in every game I’ve watched the announcers just gush over his accuracy. But sure… it’s a narrative.

Leavitt (if healthy) is the best option. If he’s out for the spring, we need to pass. Can’t do that again.

Mestamaker is intriguing but curious to see if he just hitches to Morris and goes to Oklahoma State.

JKS and Hoover aren’t coming here.

No to Nico and Angeli.

I’d take Bailey, Becht, and Sorsby. All have good arms, good legs, and some level of the “it” factor. Bailey would have been the obvious answer until he played us.

Sellers is one that I would have loved a few months back but it’s going sour. I’m not sure we’re equipped to give him what he needs in a system. Too complex for him. He should go somewhere like Tennessee in the system that has 1 read and be like Hendon Hooker.

Our system is not complex lol its simple to a fault.
