If you frame it this way ^^^^ It looks more impressive

Apparently zbrod thinks 10-win seasons are poo.

Ten wins doesn’t make you a championship program...national championships do

Stop it. Spurrier, as much as I hate him/it, raised UF to Miami (and FSU)'s level. Look at where UF was as a program before he got there. Tulane had more SEC titles than UF did.

It was discussion only with the pros & cons of why he would stay/leave VT etc.

Serius XM (84) this morning.....

Are there rumors? Or are you starting them?
Were they just throwing names out there for the sake of discussion or were they passing along insider info? It doesn't pass the sniff test to me but as someone noted earlier, if it distracts the VT players this week then I hope his name keeps coming up.

As a Cane fan, I'd love to see Fuente leave VT, not crazy about him heading to UF though

Wouldn'te the best move on his part. UF is a more “prestigious” job but everything you need to win big is within reach at VT and 9-10 win seasons is all you need to keep them happy.

However, I’d love to have Fuente out of the conference. He’s gonna be a problem for years

I would change "conference" to "division". That's where he causes the biggest problem. If he were in the Atlantic, it wouldn't bother me one bit.

Because they are if you remove Urban Meyer’s record there lol.

You're LOL'ing because you're getting your lunch money taken again. I know what this looks like.

But Spurrier averaged 10.

So Meyer isn't the only winner they've had (even in recent history).

Remove 10 years from our record.

What's our average win total?

they have never won a title going undefeated lol you are 100% right. I would take Tennessee job over that all day.

he raised it but no where near um/fsu level at the same time.

Actually, he raised it above where UM was for most of the 90s

You're clueless as usual.

Average 10 wins with a national championship you're a legend.

An overall historical record of .677, and .577 record against conference foes, and three championships because of two coaches rose those numbers up doesn’t make you a top tier program, it puts you in the same realm as Tennessee under Doug ****ey and Phillip Fulmer with Johnnie Majors in between...the same place you say isn’t a better job than Florida. An 80.5 % winning percentage from 1979 to 2005(like we have) are what blue blood programs look like and 16 national championships from USC and Bama are what blue blood programs do

Mostly because we didnt really have a real football program until the late 70's early 80's, which we dominated the 80's until we went on probation in the 90's, rebuilt into the greatest team of all time in 2001, Then had the scandal and 3 of the worst coaches in UM history back to back. You cant compare our mediocrity with UF's. Ours was mostly brought on by probation and sanctions, not by being a terrible football program.

I feel like you're 15 years old with this post.

We didn't have a real football program because, well, we weren't good.

We dominated for a decade then regressed. Then dominated for 4 years and regressed.

Saying we had the worst coaches ever is wrong and just an excuse.

Do you have any posts that don't make it obvious how much you hate Miami?

I don't really want to defend them, but that Spurrier guy was pretty good. 122-27-1 and 87-12 in the SEC.

Wow, it's obvious from the vid that Spurrier's arm is totally shot compared to back in his playing days. Look at that pathetic side-arm delivery.

UT will pay more than any school in the country for the right coach,Saban.Nebraska, you probably have
never been to Lincoln,Neb.

Fuentes has stated that he doesn't want to coach in the SEC – he hinted at the corruption in recruiting.

He's a perfect fit for VT. I could see him being there for a while. It will be nice to have the Miami VT rivalry back to where it used to be.

You're right, we had the best coaches

UF is a much better gig than Tennessee or Nebraska.

Spurrier was a **** of a coach. He took Florida from an SEC also-ran to perennial national title contender.

Most of Virginia isn't deliverance country but Blacksburg sure as **** is.

Yea those 46 conference titles and 5 national championships with the latest being in ‘97 makes that place football purgatory. It isn’t the 90’s anymore, people can’t win at places like that...how's Washington and Wisconsin doing again?

Nah, that's the same motion he used when he threw at Ted Hendricks and hit him square in the helmet.

Miami's all-time win percentage is .636% right now.

But we're a blue-blood because of a cherry-picked time period?

You're comically incompetent.
