FSU vs LSU tonight

“Should have been sacked” but not is called a skill. Barry Sanders should have been tackled a lot in his career, but he wasn’t. See my point? When you continually escape rushers and make plays, it’s not luck and LSU has no worse athletes than he’ll face in probably 10 of his games. That’s his best attribute. I agree with most of what you said other than that, though. He did make a couple questionable decisions but for the most part I thought he was very decisive with the ball. He’s better than he was. All I’m saying.
LSU couldn't tackle anyone I hope to god everyone else FSU plays is at least moderately prepared.

Lotta missed tackles and dropped passes in a ton of games this weekend. Not sure if it’s just rust or due to less hitting, but there were some sloppy games. There usually are week 1, just saying it seemed worse than usual. How many drops just in the game last night? Like 7-8? Boutte looked like he was drunk.

Agree tackling looked bad in 90% of games I watched but don't think any team looked as overwhelmed in all three facets of the game.

Strong and Addae aren't miracle workers but Mirabal is? Lol don't do it to yourself man. I'm not gone blame these coaches for what they inherited. Scaife struggles vs elite pass rushers that's not an opinion. Hopefully we scheme him some help off edge but 1 vs 1 it's a wrap.
Strong and Addae resume don't hold a candle to Mirabal my guy. Neither have turned walk ons into all conference players.

Oline is a position that doesn't need so much raw athleticism as there are lil sneaky tricks and techniques you can use to cover your deficiencies that you absolutely can not use at backer or DB because of the space you have to play in.

Those are the types of things Mirabal teaches.

We have to stop letting FSU get these elite transfer DEs
We really messed up last year by not locking down Johnson, we got the worng one from Tenn. That actually helped them locked down Verse too as he sealed the deal for him. We shoulda used phillips to do the same for us.. Oh well.. Manny would probably still be here tho as Johnson was a menace in that game.. Literally put our tackle in a blender.. Never seen a OT do a spin move

FSU is much better coached than this board assumed. Couple dumb calls in red zone, but overall great game plan and play calling last night. Travis was really good. They have some athletes on defense, too. Verse is a beast. They will give us a game.
The biggest difference last year in Miami vs FSU was that they were better coached than Miami. Travis is better it seems but I will hold judgement on them until I see a few more games and consistency.

Their offense is set up to take advantage of the linebackers, which is a weakness right now for us. Stretch them out and then go vertical seemed like the plan yesterday’s day those missed tackles by LSU yesterday was just atrocious.
