FSU is broke

this is the issue between USC boosters and lincoln riley his first year. he believed in the old way to build prgrams through shiny facilities whereas USC boosters were like thats stupid. players will sign on if pay up not if there is a new weight room

they honestly just need 400,000 living alumni to donate $1,000each.... lol

I like how the fsu fans and alums love to poke fun at our fan-base, yet their side is relatively bad at showing up to bowl games and apparently are tight with the wallet. No wonder SEC looks down on them.

We know the reason why….

I think he is pretty much done, I'd be surprised if he survives until after week 3.

They open the season against New Mexico State (assuming a W), then vs SMU and then @ Alabama: 1-2 will get him fired, a stunning week 1 loss will get him fired, even an ugly week 2 loss will probably get him fired.

I don't think he will have a chance to coach 8 games, let alone win them. At least Napier had the Lagway hype as a life safer, Norvell ain't got nothing.

Plus Napier had a better roster at UF.
For all their problems, they had some legit players on defense and some pretty good talent on the other side of the ball.

Deion might bring renewed excitement but it would not last.

Yes, he managed to recruit a few HS 5* players but relies on the portal for a reason. He does not like the recruiting trail. I also doubt his health would allow him to grind like Mario.

FSU might have a future dropping to FCS and creating regional rivalries with FAMU and Bethune-Cookman.

It's always "but what about Miami"...

First, Miami is a private school, not a public school. So we are not out there blowing taxpayer money on new ****ters.

Second, Miami makes money, hand over fist, from UHealth. So let's not act like Miami doesn't have access to cash that F$U doesn't.

Third, if and when the time comes to build a stadium, I can guarantee that we won't hire some loser from Memphis who will tank our program right when we need to raise capital funds and sell tickets in order to make the project work.

But, sure, it's always "but what about Miami"...

BTW, Seaton was a 5 star, he got him. Cormani was a 5 star and the top CB, he got him, he convinced Travis Hunter (5 star and top rated player in the country) to go to an HBCU school and then follow him to Colorado. He beat us out for a top WR that we really wanted and got him to go to that HBCU school.

But, I guess besides all of that, he can't recruit.
Was all that in the same year? Cuz, even norvell recruited well for 1 year in 2023!

Sir, you can't list the names of three guys (two of whom transferred OUT OF Colorado) and act like the recruiting is great "because 5 stars".

The fact remains, after those "headliners", the rest of Colorado's recruits have been mid. Colorado routinely misses both the Top 50 overall, and the Top 10 OF THEIR OWN CONFERENCE.

So when you get one quality guy per cycle, and about 40 or 50 guys of "quantity", the overall recruiting accomplishment is not good.

We understand. Coach Neon can occasionally slide in to land a kid with whom he has a relationship (Hunter) or a guy who decides to spurn the home team to make snow angels in Colorado (McClain). But he is not landing 5-stars with the frequency that he needs in order to offset the rest of his lazy recruiting, and he isn't developing/retaining those 5-stars, outside of Hunter.

Hopefully they took some of that money and finally fixed the toilets at Dork Shambles Stadium. I’ve seen better restrooms at a truck stop.

please tell me MasTec won the job for their stadium renovations and will in turn donate 50% of profits on job to Canes Connection!!!!!!!
