Even with the increase in conference revenue coming in FSU has a huge debt to service with all of their stadium improvements (LOL) and other reckless spending. Everyone could see this coming & the football staff will be next after they get whacked at Alabama.

This is the move they should have made to give Norvell the support he needed. I’m wrecked. A new AD will get him another year, maybe three, or a fourth. The right AD hire and keeping Norvell ensures they’ll be a major thorn in our side before we know it.

This SUCKS.

The new AD’s first assignment will be the football program & getting rid of Norvell & the so-called GM they brought in. They’re probably already looking at who they want to hire & firing Norvell & bringing in a top notch coach is going to take money & lots of it. No one is throwing away $$ anymore for that train wreck as long as Norvell's there.

Don’t kid yourselves; Norvell is absolutely getting fired. It’s just a matter of whether it’s after the Virginia game, this Alabama game, the Miami game, etc.

Their problem is they also have a big issue at the president level and booster level in terms of alignment, and it's too early to tell yet whether they finally have figured that out and this is the first step, or if they all think the problem is below them and they’re just firing the athletic director to get the money back from the boosters to then fire the head coach. Time will tell, but both jobs are going to be in demand no matter how much we might hate it or how poor we all think they are, because so many jobs turned over last year.

They’re gonna be one of the pretty enough girls at the ugly prom.

And there’s no law that says they have to nail this hire either. We know from experience.
