Frog stance is very much alive and well

Did these guys get it from us or the other way around?

Either way, and this isn't really directly at you, the guys pictured are professionals who've grown into their bodies and can focus their entire attention on complex systems. There are many reasons why certain things work in the NFL and are not suited for college football. Expecting players to maintain their gap and play contain is one of them. It also just happens to eliminate the biggest strength of most of our recruiting base: speed and athleticism.

It's not only the pros doing it. Many college teams are doing it, including teams that have speed and athleticism. So it's not so much who these teams are, point is, college teams are also doing it. Is it better? IDK. The pros seem to think it helps, I can understand why college teams piggy back off it.

It would appear as if someone is too ignorant to distinguish between the race car stance and the frog stance.

While both are 4 point stances, they are completely different in kinesiology and intent.

Thanks for gracing us with your ignorance. You excel at that. You are also very good at copy/paste of .jpg's. I bet your mom is so proud.

Again, you are showing THE BEAR FRONT. You have NO CLUE what you are talking about.

Chris Clemons is standing up, but is a DE who never, NEVER drops back in coverage. KJ Wright is a LB. Considering Browner is on the squad this picture is also from 2012, when Gus Bradley was their DC.

Regardless of stance, that dude's in a 9-tech way out there. He's going upfield Jerome Mcdougle-style. Our DEs are often playing contain.

Exactly the point...the "frog" stance is not the issue. It's taught everywhere.

Says the guy who has no idea what he's showing in a single picture he posts. Stick to the Baseball Giants and Harvey Milk....

No need to worry guys... it's not actually a frog stance. Remember our coaching staff traveled to East Asia during the off season, to be trained by the best.

No it's not. That's not frog stance. The frog stance is when your butt is practically on your heels, a squat position if you will.

Exactly!

Don't interrupt naner when he's in the middle of a furious copy/paste session though.

You are confusing stances. "Frog stance" the way that it's defined here has no weight on the hands. I didn't play DL, but I remember coaches "testing" your stance based on slapping the arm away. When they're in the stance in your video, slapping his arms out would have him probably fall on his facemask. In "frog stance," he'd just be in a squat: they're basically sitting down waiting to 2-gap.

Probably better to get one of the OL/DL guys like Arehel or gogeta to give a more technical explanation.

Why is Niner posting pictures of DE's in a motorcycle stance ? That's what you see on obvious pass downs, you see it a lot in wide nine defenses . The " frog stance" is completely different .

Btw, Pete Carroll scrapped this crap while at USC, said it was" too complicated for his athletes". Players were doing more thinking than just reacting .

Clemons dropping into coverage AGAIN.

Tell us more how he NEVER does that.

If Bethune scores more than 13 points racks up more than 300 yards...we are ****ed frog stances or not
