Yep - calculus is no joke at Tech…but nothing gogeta & hollyhood said is wrong either. City life in Atlanta is cool, but Tech’s social scene has always been kinda nerdy with fewer girls on campus than any of the schools mentioned. Not as many majors to choose that are “easy”, even with tutoring help.

Tech lost a lot of its connection to the city over the last 25 years (made from bball teams of the 80s/90s, not as much from football), but it’s mostly the SEC and Clemson have outmuscled, outspent and outresourced Tech for Metro ATL talent.

Tech fans will be satisfied with 7-9 wins with a Top 20-40 squad as long as the team isn’t as quirky to watch as the triple option. It’s much less stressful to be a Tech fan.

emory is more rich and out of state crowd. they wont hang out w people from other places. theyre in a bubble really. they go to Atlanta for four years and leave to the NE again (same as miami student body). tech students are there for tech and not Atlanta. GSU is more of the true lifers to the city. also, ATL is more and more transient w fans from all over (it's the best job market in the south and that includes over miami).
