By your theory, how did golden get a recruiting bump in 2012? No coach is going to get a recruiting bump when they only have two months to recruit kids.

Competition has never scared Scarlett away. He wants to come in with both Walton and Williams. This has always been about fit. Hopefully the fact he has been such a strong commit until our 3 straight losses and that STA kids honor their commitments will be enough to keep him. He's the greatest talent in the class. Walton is just as strong. What a pair those two will be.

Golden was a polished salesman and imo the media and recruits bought in to the Temple turnaround. My point about McElwain is that hire wasn't a big name hire that would've win some recruiting wars like Harbaugh will do by nsd

So the same recruits won't buy into the Colorado state turnaround or Mac's work at alabama? Also Mac isn't a big name hire but Golden is? Mac can sell being under saban's tree where golden did not have the same benefit. I am not trying to advocate for Mac, but no coach is going to get a recruiting boost when they have two months to recruit kids. A lot of talking heads on espn were hyping up Harbaugh saying he was going to have kids lining up to sign with him this February but that is certainly not the case yet. I am positive he is having to offer some kids slightly below his standard just to get depth on his roster. Both Michigan and uf only have 8 commits. He is as big of a name you can get too.

the recruiting boost happens in the 2nd recruiting cycle, not the first. Harbaugh isn't evn going to get much of a boost right now. Too hard to develop relationships.

Next year is when you see a boost, if one happens.

i will say that macs recruiting board in 1.5 months >>>>>>>> Muschamps in 4 years to develop the relationships for this class

scarlett is not visiting if we have muschamp, nor is many of the guys like ryan davis, francois, etc

and we actually have backup plans for a change. Which is nice. Mushcamp stay getting burned/played.
