Nebraska people when they think Rhule might leave:
VA Tech would be the perfect landing spot for James Franklin.
Their AD should already have his contract drafted.
Agree with you folks. Does VT have the financial support Franklin would need?Franklin should immediately jump to the top of Virginia Tech’s list

He may have said that….and maybe he is a man of his word. But he will def be at the top of the board.I thought Indiana's Alumni had made Cignetti an Offer He Couldn't Refuse and was hanging around Indiana for the foreseeable future? Am I wrong?
Numbers don’t tell the whole story. Need to dig deeper.Solid Verbal guys mocking that idea and suggesting Al Golden
Why did they fire this guy again? Maybe I've seen too much of the Norvell grief process, but looking at this guys record... the next guy better be really ******* good.

If his pool of interest is relatively low like I think it will be then yes. If he’s Florida/FSU/ or even UCLA or whoever else’s target as well then no, they won’t have enough to win a bidding war and provide financial backing.Agree with you folks. Lateral at best, downgrade at worst, whatever. The point is he's no upgrade so they better hit on whomever they bring in. UGA was able to successfully pull it off going from Richt to Smart but it's a massive gamble.lateral? What has Rhule done anywhere?
Their scouting dept was ELITE too.. Not top 10 but have several high draft picks that are physical freaks and test crazy..PSU gotta have the best (or one of) recruit ranking to win ratio in the country since Franklin took over
They’re rarely anywhere near the top 10 yet win lots of games
He's a very good recruiter & talent evaluator, but that's really about it.Does Franklin specialize in anything?
Is he a defense guy? An offense guy?
Besides losing games he has no business losing, and always losing to teams with a pulse, what discernible advantage does he bring not just to Miami but to any program?
Yeah they can.Can VT afford him?
That would help alleviate PSU's pressure as any funds Franklin accepts reduces his Happy Valley ducats...
I could see him being the Gators next coach
Mark Cuban. Irsays. Pretty much everyone at Cook Medical. The Simon family (Simon Properties). Eli Lilly people. Sid Eskenazi (lawyer/real estate). Fred Luddy (cloud computing). Paul O’Neill (Alcoa). IU isn’t at the top of the heap or anything but it has plenty of money. It also has a massive alumni base, revenue generating bball program, good collectives, and a good athletic director.Who are the deep pocketed Indiana boosters?!
He’s a PA guy. This firing was all about getting dibs on him.
Sounds familiarHe's a very good recruiter & talent evaluator, but that's really about it.
With him, his success will always be contingent on his coordinator hires.
Coaches have less incentive to develop QBs now, NO ONE is safe.. You lose 2 games and you can be gone, no matter if you were in playoffs or anything. This has to have a ripple effectThis is what happens when you hitch your wagon to Drew Allar.
Make good quarterback choices yall.
