Francois furthers relationship with Banda as OSU, PSU push

Why not? He saying basically id love to stay home at UM and play. But if UM goes 7-6 another year I want to keep my options open. There is nothing wrong with that.

He’s basically saying if OSU says yes he’s going there. IMO it’s a red flag for kids to be starting up the excuses to leave before anything goes wrong. He’s laying a foundation to bolt no matter what happens. And fwiw a school that doesn’t even want him

Got it.

Literally the ball is on our court. We need to win games, especially the important ones (UF, FSU, VT). 12 INTs this pass season, tied for a dade county record, this is not a recruit you go back and forth with, the moment Miami slips up or shows any crack. OSU will intervene and go for the kill. I believe kid will ultimately stick tho especially if Manny could go 10-2, 11-3.

OSU hasn't offered him yet. hes essentially begging for an OSU offer. theyre full at DBs and they would make room if one drops or they get ricks

I think the issue is that he de-commits the first time, and fair game because we had just put up a 7-6 season, showed little to nothing in a bowl game, and Diaz was headed out the door. Then Diaz is named the HC, starting TNM, and he jumps back on board. My question is why? If it's complicated now, with nothing substantial on field happening to make a judgment on the team, then why re-commit back in February? Just stay open and get recruited. That's the problem some people have here, it's clearly a placeholder situation with the baked-in reasons if OSU decides to give him a green light on the offer.

Like @TRick72 said, We could have successful season and him still say we are too up and down and not consistent when OSU says come on down. Not ripping him per se just how I see it as a fan.

Most of these kids want to come to UM. But we give them a reason to look other places with these mediocre seasons. We win. They stay.

we havent given him a single reason since he recommitted to look around. OSU hasn't offered him otherwise he'd flip or most likely flip. both schools are starting with new coaches (both HCs were previous coordinator at their respective schools).

it’s worth noting that if Francois has a similar season to the one last year in terms of production. OSU will make room.

I love Francois. He will be an excellent safety here if we do well this season which is fair. We also need to give the green light to Balom from Miramar tho

In the end, how difficult would it be to flip him from his Miami pledge?

“It’d be tough, but it’s complicated,” he said.

Did he just set our relationship status to "It's Complicated"???

Hmmm. I thought he was going to be a corner for us, also.

End of the day, none of that matters, I guess. This interview tells us one thing, and one thing only. That one thing is something we all already knew...

We need to win ten games this year or we are in a world of hurt. If we can find a way to win 11 or 12, and not get blown out by The Tigger, this program will reach escape velocity to the upper echelon of college football very quickly. Manny just needs to establish "proof of concept", and he doesn't have the luxury of 2-4 years to do it.

If the roles were reversed, and Miami didn’t accept his commit nor made him a priority, we get killed by the SFL community...

Remember these recruits reads these stories linked with threads like this. So before it starts , chill with the bashing sh*t. We are going to have a good season, quit worrying. Miami just got to take care of business on the field and they will do that. Francois is a big time talent and we got to keep him committed by any means

If a recruit cannot take public commentary on :insert dumb**** behavior: they need to stay off social media.

Gone mess around and be to Ohio state what Tennison is to Clemson “it’s complicated “

Lol this is what it has come to we have to wait for elite teams to fill up while we get scraps who would of ever thought this would be the miami of the future back in 99

In 2009, we told Jamal Berry to go have fun in cow country because we already had Lamar Miller locked in. The decade has been tough to be a Canes fan.

I would hate to lose another elite So FL DB. But if he wants to hibernate for 7 months with Paranos' girlfriends up in Colombus, you can't worry about what's out of your control. We're going to be deep at safety next year regardless, and by then Manny will have proven results to bring to the next round of recruits.

Take Balom, hope Francois stays true to his word and stays committed when we have a good season.
