Mock drafters are already penciling in OT Francis Mauigoa as a first rounder in the 2026 Draft. He met with reporters to discuss his progression and more:

On how the offensive line has progressed through the first days of spring practice:

“The o-line is good every year. I mean, behind [offensive line coach and assistant head coach Alex Mirabal], there’s a standard and we reach the standard. We try to keep those standards every year.”

Stating the absolute obvious here but we need more of this trend:

1. Elite recruit
2. Impact freshman
3. Improves every year
4. Drafted on Day 1
Going off of Daniel Jeremiah 3.0 mock draft for this year, I counted around 8 players that were 5 stars on the On3 composite in 2022 that are projected to go 1st round this year

So possibly a 25% chance for this year for a former 5 star, 3 years and done, but when you hit you really hit

Always love reading these hype interviews. He clearly loves the coaches and the program.

Can someone fill me in on which young guys are coming for his job? Maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention but I thought we were pretty light at RT behind FM.

One of the best offensive lineman as a freshman and has improved each year, glad to had have him. One more year of anchoring the line, which is probably top 5 in cfb.

Mauigoa is a tackle. The only people who want to see him at guard are on this board.

He's been outstanding at tackle and he'll stay there for his final year.

A one nut having monkey knows he is a tackle and he can play that position in the NFL.

But is an offensive coordinator going to like his abilities more at Guard? Don't bet your last nut away is all im saying!
