Fox Sports: Why Al Golden Is All But Fired

If he couldn't do it with the last group...

Yup.

And LMAO! at all this "cohesion" talk...insinuating that we're better off without Duke and/or Dorsett, is like saying we were better off without McGahee when He blew His knee out in the NC.

If you're still a fan of this team after the last decade, nobody can call you bandwagon.

Being a fan right now of Miami is ****ing miserable.

It is painful at times, but I have no problem going through the hard times with this team... Always rooted for this team always will. They will rise again, the hope is sooner than later. Really want to see Kaaya be the one who brings it back, but whenever it happens it will be all the sweeter considering the mediocrity we have had to witness.

This is his final season unless he wins big. So, either we win big, or he's gone. Sounds like a win win to me. My biggest concern isn't this year, it's who we hire after Golden is gone. Seriously, we can do worse, and this administration will likely go digging through the bargain bin again for the next hire. We simply can not do that this time. We need to make a good hire, period.

its gonna be Mario, just hope he brings a couple Bammers with him, and UM gives him the budget to hire a real staff

Mario? Why in Hades don't we just promote the towel boy?

Talent is not the issue with this team, their is enough to win the costal. Frauden's philosophy is not made for UM football, he believes in a slow prodding team. Florida football is about speed and attacking on defense. It is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

New Staff will be (based on what Miami can afford, which is key given the payout that will come to Al Golden)

HC - Mario Cristobal
OC - James Coley or Ken Dorsey
WR - Kevin Beard
OL - Art Kehoe
TE - Scott
RB - Tim Harris

DC - Dave Aranda (you need a excellent teacher he has experience with 3-4 schemes so that the learning curve is very short for the players). Aranda runs an attacking style of 3-4 defense that can utilize south Florida talent and speed. He brings 4 to 5 man pressure on almost every snap with 3 down linemen an pressure coming from ANYWHERE.
DL - Kevin Patrick
LB - Michael Barrow or Veron Hargraves or Scott McCurley (From the Green Packers would be the most economical choice and he has been an assistant with the Packers for 10yrs. He is an X's & O's technical coach)
DB - Hurlie Brown

This staff would a be very good blending of recruiters, X's and O's types, and former Canes as well as NFL experience an all Mario would have to do is be a CEO an delegate.
Go Canes

I'm still surprised Kevin Patrick hasn't found his way here yet. Very, very surprised.

💯💯💯

HC - Chud
OC - Dorsey
OL - Cristobal pay him to recruit
WR - Beard
RB - Harris
TE - Scott Tampa area

Defense entire new staff built off of attacking pressure man to man defense that replicates South Florida football

Only guy to keep would be maybe Hurlie Brown.

The guy was talking about miami like we are some joke because we really are one.

He said we don't have a chance to compete with Duke 😂we are a god **** joke right now and people are finally realizing Golden's nothing but a donut eating excuse maker who's ran out of excuses.

The ACC coaches are praying the admin gives Frauden a life time contract. The ACC coaches are laughing at how this team is run.

The other thing that is not being discussed is Miami's down slide in the NCAA APR every year since he has been here. Graduating kids has always been a HUGE component for the UM administration an now Miami is middle of the ACC pack with a 967 APR score, down from 990 when he first arrived at Miami. Combined with his lack of performance on the field and That is why Blake James is talking real tough about AL Golden being a dog that won't hunt.

Hopefully he can get it together because I just can't root for Miami to have a bad or just average year.

Go Canes

The admins won't look kindly on this APR slide. Probably means more to them than wins or loses. THIS may get Al fired. Playing bad football doesn't matter to these folks, but these graduation rates will get Golden canned for sure. This IS "the Harvard of the South" after all.

I hope we win 9 games because that's a great season at UM and that would mean Coach Golden got the job done and should keep his job.

9!? There are too many clouds and too many night games on the schedule, no one under these circumstances could win 9 games. Let's shoot for 6 games and that everyone excells in the classroom and community service!

This is why Al Golden has keep players like Hunter Wells, Jelani Hamilton, Earl Moore, and Corey King around they have are all set to graduate this year or have graduated. If they had left before graduating than Miami's APR would have been near the 930 APR Score penalty threshold and that responsibility would fall 110% totally on Al Golden. You see Corey King was ushered to the door once he graduated.

This cooked Tedford, QB guru to the likes of Aaron Rodgers. That was a sobering dialogue on the Fox channel that offers little optimism. I still plan on flying out for Nebraska game but can't but wonder if it's AG's last stand....
