Fox Sports: Why Al Golden Is All But Fired

The other thing that is not being discussed is Miami's down slide in the NCAA APR every year since he has been here. Graduating kids has always been a HUGE component for the UM administration an now Miami is middle of the ACC pack with a 967 APR score, down from 990 when he first arrived at Miami. Combined with his lack of performance on the field and That is why Blake James is talking real tough about AL Golden being a dog that won't hunt.

Hopefully he can get it together because I just can't root for Miami to have a bad or just average year.

Until you can figure out a way to have him fired today, and replaced with a better coach that can put together a winner today, it's the best we can hope for.

Ultimate Tangent; Good Work!

He is a career loser and .500 in the ACC, he will likely continue this trend in 2015.

This is a dead season and there are no signs of anything at the end of the season either. They retained a 6-7 coach who has regressed since his first season. Where is this win-win?

Maybe you can "hope" us to victory in 2015!

The real truth is we still have talent and probably more across the board compared to last year however our staff and philosophy suck.

Hoping for Miami to win big this season is probably the worst thing you can hope for if you value the football program.

Win/win season my ***.

Big O last week and now this. Golden is about to embark on one of the worst years possible for a coach from an emotional beat down standpoint. He is going to get flayed every single week. It is too bad it took so long for everyone to open their **** eyes. Way too many College careers have been wasted, and that is something the AD and the BOT should feel down right guilty about for allowing to happen due to their lethargy and reluctance to address a problem that has been as clear as day for several years.

the stage is set up for FAU to end this sooner than expected...

I have been saying the same thing since last season ended. I will be at that game and I won't be sorry if we lose. Should have a new coach by monday. Hmmmm who doesn't have a job right NOW. BBB.

Agreed with everything they said, except with their certainty that he is gone if the team tanks. I'm not sold on that.

Talent is not the issue with this team, their is enough to win the costal. Frauden's philosophy is not made for UM football, he believes in a slow prodding team. Florida football is about speed and attacking on defense. It is like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

I would think the main reason for this is all the guys transfering out under Golden and not graduating at other schools

As a Cane fan, I will hope we win. Now, if we see another .500 season, I do believe he's gone. NO excuses to be under, or even CLOSE to .500 in year 5. So yes, I think they will make a move if we have another 6-7 win season.

I don't need you to tell me his record. I know he isn't getting the job done. There will be a lot of pressure on him to win this year with that stadium getting a facelift, and them wanting to get butts in the seats. Returning a failed coach for 2016 won't put butts in the newly renovated stadium. So yeah, I think we all get what we want this year. Either we win, or he's fired.

My biggest fear is we luck into 8 wins and come close to winning the Coastal. Is that bad enough to get him fired? It's bad enough for you and I to pull the trigger, but will this administration?

I hope we win 9 games because that's a great season at UM and that would mean Coach Golden got the job done and should keep his job.
