They haven’t had their sites on him until ESPN came out with an article last year. I believe they questioned him back when it happened but nothing more. ESPNs article came out and pointed at Jones. Curious to see what new evidence they have, because my guess is they don’t but feeling pressure to charge someone (not saying he did it or not)wait.....how could it take 15 years to get the goods on someone they have long had in their sites? this is going to be interesting.
**** has that "took ya long enough" smirk on his face. Smh.
On a more emotional note, what a f-cking punk. Jones knew that Pata would have whipped his *** so he ambushed him with a gun. I'm so sick and tired of these spineless punks who need a gun to be tough. Be a man, even if it means getting your *** kicked because at least there is some honor in fighting for what you believe in. There is no honor in sneaking up and shooting someone in the head. Gutless.
maybe because it was a dade county case and they needed to grab him in marion.Wonder why US Marshalls were involved?
serious question -- did you read the article? the family was heavily involved, extensively quoted and photographed. they wanted renewed media attention on the case in order to help solve it. the idea that it was ever a cheap shot is not based in any reality. both sides -- the pata family and the police -- worked with ESPN because they understood the power of putting the case back in the media, though ESPN ended up suing the police to get access to unredacted documents and the story was not flattering at all in its portrayal of the thoroughness and consistency of the police work.I despised that media article about the Pata story when it came out. It seemed like a cheap shot and hurtful to the Pata family. If it somehow put pressure on the cops (or whoever needed make a move) to finally do what they should have already done, then I'll raise my hand and apologize. It's pretty f'd up the media would have to do that to make it happen, but if it helps the family FINALLY get closure on this disgusting event, great.
I was about to post this. Mf looks like he’s smirking. **** him
I remember reading the whole article, yeah. And, I felt like it barely covered all the good aspects of Bryan. Other articles had done a way better job of talking about how his teammates loved him, how he was beloved in the community, etc. At the time, this particular article seemed like a cheap Netflix-like "murder documentary." It wasn't as flattering to Pata as it could have been. Yes, now that something was done because of it, totally worth it, of course. Hope the best for his fam.serious question -- did you read the article? the family was heavily involved, extensively quoted and photographed. they wanted renewed media attention on the case in order to help solve it. the idea that it was ever a cheap shot is not based in any reality. both sides -- the pata family and the police -- worked with ESPN because they understood the power of putting the case back in the media, though ESPN ended up suing the police to get access to unredacted documents and the story was not flattering at all in its portrayal of the thoroughness and consistency of the police work.
My dude said he was the one who pulled Pata off his ***.Pata did whoop His ***, they squared up in the locker room.
Arrest made 15 years after Miami player's fatal shooting
Yep. That’s usually what it is. Guy who can’t fight has to resort to shooting.Pata did whoop His ***, they squared up in the locker room.
He’ll get off easy then because he’ll get merc’d quick.Sad. He looked the most guilty by reading that article. Too much smoke for there not to be fire.
But you didn’t want to believe that a teammate/guy that you battled with on the field would do this to his own. Think about a soldier taking out a platoon mate.
If he truly is guilty, prison is gonna be really tough for him and it should be. I hope that they incarcerate him in South Florida too where people will know who he is and who’s life he took.
