For Those Who Claim Coach Mark Richt Can't Recruit

Hmmm, last year when the Canes struggled at times during their 10 straight wins you haters unmercifully and constantly attacked every coach (wanting them fired) and players (wanting them benched or thrown off the team) one time or another. Yes, this year Georgia has struggled and are a thirteen and a half point underdog to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. And if they lose to Bama and Ohio State wins the Buckeyes will jump Georgia into the playoff spot they currently occupy.

The fact that you have to sit here and explain Georgia’s hypothetical PLAYOFF scenario just discredits your entire argument. Georgia is playing for their 2nd straight SEC championship. Our fluke 10 win season last year is not even remotely close. Starting to think you’re nothing but a troll.

These mofos say we have an agenda, yet these bums are all over the map in defending Richt.

One minute it’s: ‘But, but, but Richt went 7-5 b/c Golden’s players are still around’

Next minute it’s ‘Hey, Richt has put Walton, Coley, NJoku, Kaaya, Perryman, Duke, Scott, McGahee, Lewis, Reed and Gore in the league.’

Lol GTFOH w/ these dudes, man!
Is there such a thing as biposter?

Hmmm, starting to think are you...that has to be a unique experience for you. Quoting **** "Night Train" Lane, all that thinking may give you "head cramps".

You have the shriveled up balls to call last seasons 10 wins "a fluke" and you point to me as a troll...nice try Doris!

https://www.atlantamagazine.com/great-reads/the-paradox-of-uga-football-coach-mark-richt/

But when the Bulldogs play a team that’s really good, the most you can reasonably hope for is that they keep it close. This defeatist mindset comes from years of watching Georgia get blown out in big games. Richt is part of that tradition: He is 12–15 all-time against higher-ranked teams. Contrast that to Alabama coach Nick Saban. He’s made a career of pulling off upsets, including the time his Crimson Tide defeated the third-ranked Bulldogs, 41–30, in 2008.
...
Hynes has wondered about the depths of Richt’s desire, and a couple of years ago, he asked the coach about it: Would you feel like a failure if you didn’t win a national championship?

“He looked at me like I’m an idiot,” Hynes recalls. “He said, ‘Come on, Chap, my identity is not in being a national championship football coach. My identity is in Christ. Do I want to win one? Yes. Is that going to define me as a person? No.’”

And there you have it.

Earnest T....u wanna reply to this statistical FACT?

Yes, I do, and here's my response:

LSU 36 Georgia 16

From Dawg Nation:

Like those folks, I’m hoping history will repeat itself, but I’m not really confident that will be the case, mainly because this much less experienced team (with the SEC’s youngest roster) isn’t yet close to being on the same level as the 2017 team that lost a national championship in overtime.

What concerns me more about Saturday’s butt-kicking by LSU is that it was the first game Georgia had played this season against a really good opponent, and it exposed some weaknesses in personnel and coaching that largely had been covered up by lopsided wins over inferior programs in the 6-0 start.

Before Saturday, most of the griping from the fan base was a result of last year’s success leading Bulldog Nation to expect elite play again this year.
.
.
Those artificial statistics were run up against inferior opponents over most of the season.

“Some people, use statistics as a drunk man uses lamp-posts—for support rather than for illumination.”

Mark Richt, having to follow the Randy Shannon disaster, Al Golden disaster, and the Shapiro disaster, that was several years of non-stop vicious media attacks on the Canes football program, requires a long-term rebuilding of a program that is unrecognizable from the glory days. What Coach Richt accomplished last year was possibly the best coaching job in the history of the program when everything is factored in, which is why the experts awarded him coach of the year. There is no way to wave a recruiting wand over the nation's recruits and suddenly they will be clamoring to become Canes, especially when competing against monstrous, well oiled (money) recruiting machines that now dot the college football landscape.

Below, is a small sampling of the recruiting Coach Richt brought to the Bulldogs. Notice that with Coach Richt's recruits Kirby came close to capturing a National Championship, yet now with Coach Richt's recruits moving on, they've struggled. Mark Rich is a winner and with the support of all Canes, he will bring National Championships back to Miami.

Dont worry man, the emotional crew wont understand your post, you also left off roquan smith. But instead of using UGA, you could've used the current UM squad, the wole roster overall has been upgraded in talent in barely 3yrs under coach richt. The main thing is this, when you talking to people who use nerd recruiting websites and class rankings as the basis of they're arguments, they are a waste of time to talk too. For anybody to act as if recruiting sites know more than actual veteran coaches makes me laugh.

Most of those same guys become dissappointed if a recruiting class is not ranked that high and get down, at the same time, if a recruiting class gets ranked high now they feeling good, and the sad part is, none of those classes havent even played a game yet, lol. They so worried about star rankings than rather if that player can actually play. I cant take anybody serious who uses class rankings/player rankings to try and make points, which is why your post was on point, cause those players no matter what their rankings were coming in, they actually balled out!

The star gazers are so caught up in those rankings, that when a player doesnt play that good, they either blaming the player or blaming the coaches, but not the dumb *** recruiting sites who made the wrong evals.

Well, that changed my mind about Richt.

Here I thought a coach that was fired and not allowed to be the OC at his old school could potentially be a problem, especially when he showed his old stubborn ways, but nope, he recruited in the past.

Here I thought that a coach that said he was burned out, but now revitalized, might actually be burned out due to his actions, or lack there of, but nope, he recruited in the past.

Here I thought that a coach that was fortunate to make a bowl game, and have extra practice sessions would be charged up to have his team prepared to play, especially when he notes that the offense that struggles does not know the playbook, but not Richt. I thought that was an issue, but hey, he recruited a few players in the past.

Here I thought that hiring his son who seemingly has yet to show any ability to develop QB's was a mistake, compound this with no solid plan for a 2019 commit at the position. I was thinking this is a failure that needs to be addressed, but Richt recruited at UGA.

If I remember correctly Dugans considered F$U last season, but decided to stay and one of the reasons was family time allotted to the staff. Usually I would want coaches dedicated to winning, but Richt recruited at UGA.

Bama plays for the MNC year in and year out, they also are around the number one class each year, we are in the mid twenties, but hey, Richt recruited at UGA.

Thanks, I feel better now knowing over about 15 years Richt was able to pull in some studs.

What are you even arguing about at this point? CMR can recruit or UGA is going downhill without CMRs recruits?

I’ll give you that CMR can recruit... Kinda... He will recruit certain positions really well but get lazy at others at times (Oline). He also never seemed to fill 85 scholarships at UGA. It seemed he was always running around upper 70s to 80.

You need to type into Google “UGA 2013 recruiting class” and read a few of the results. That class ended up a smoking crater and was a large part of Richts undoing at UGA. He said he felt like it was the ”#1 class in America” after he signed them. He was dead wrong and after that class bottomed out, UGA simply never recovered and Richt was canned 2 years later.

I’m not responding to the UGA is struggling nonsense again. Troll someone else with that crap because it is CRAP.

First off who really cares what Richt did for Georgia. What’s he done or doing for Miami is more important, secondly how do we even know those recruits were identified and accredited to Richt being the reason they went there. Any coach involved in those kids recruiting coulda been the identifying coach and the sole reason they chose Georgia.

Notice that with Coach Richt's recruits Kirby came close to capturing a National Championship

Earnest is too retarded to see that this statement blatantly shows Richt is a mediocre coach. Earnest must agree then that Kirby was able to do better than Richt with Richt's recruits. Well let me go ahead and add that to the ever growing list of reasons to get rid of Richt.
