For the 48th parallel! Spring game will not be streamed

The 48th parallel and language thankfully separate Quebec and New Brunswick. I'm all for avoiding the havoc of war between those two!

While it would be nice for us out of towners, I think you guys are overreacting just a tad.

We’ve got 1 mod saying this decision evaporated goodwill concerning Manny before he’s even coached a game and another saying that if it’s not televised next year that Manny will be like the other coaches we’ve had. Uh wow...

This is just something else for ppl to whine about. If we beat the Gators, win the Coastal and have a great season no one is gonna give af that we couldn’t watch a glorified practice in April.

For the sake of this conversation, say we win ten games guaranteed we get doc offers from showtime or amazon.

99% of the time, I could not care less about the spring game being broadcast. However, since they're choosing to play the game 3+hours away from their home stadium, the least they could do would be to stream the game.

Rest assured, if the game was being played at HRS, I'd tell you all to sack up and go to the game.

Just went on line and got my ticks...

This is not related to the live stream, but I have a friend who works concessions and as of right now they are not scheduled to work due to the lack of ticket requests.

Of course this could change, but surprised to hear, maybe now that there is no stream, tickets will move.

I do not have enough words in my body to describe how disrespectful and out of touch this trend is among UM coaches. Diaz liquidated a metric ton of goodwill from this common fan with this decision. Blake is weak for letting HCs deny fans the one access point they have for 8 whole months to see the program in action.

Gross.

the issue was the rolling stones concert. they are hosting an in town scrimmage this weekend at traz for those who want to see the same without the travel

a spring game, no matter where it is, will never draw for a school like Miami. not enough interest in a glorified practice.

you sound like a reasonable person.

The concert was cancelled, they still chose Orlando to use the stadium prior to the turds game. I'm going to Orlando but would rather drive an hour and a half and come home vs over 2 and a half hours each way and my wife wanting to stay the night. I understand the thought behind it but at least if it was streamed, I could go to Traz and then watch my big screen. Would save a couple hundred bucks!

College football is definitely one of the rougher sports to follow. 12 week season -- filled with at least 2 **** games that are entirely meaningless -- and 8 months of doing nothing but waiting till the next short burst of a season.

Now Miami decides to not only host the spring game in a different city but they choose to not even televise it? What a terrible message they're sending to the fans

This captures how I feel about it. If Manny wants to have the Spring game up in Orlando so that the team/staff is more familiar with the stadium, I'm fine with that. But if you are going to take the Spring game and move it such an inconvenient distance from the Rock, then you need to do right by your fanbase and provide live access.

Also, I do not believe the "logistics" did not work. We aren't talking about landing a man on Mars, we're talking about setting up a small production crew with a few cameras for a game at a stadium where college football is played (and televised) every year. That's a BS excuse to cover up the truth.
