Follow-up to a story I mentioned in my long post

Blake was the issue. I would go as far to say as with the right AD Manny might even succeed. I do not think thats possible now.

I always stayed away from making fun of his godzilla wife but man, yall were right for years on this ****. Guy was a ******* cuck.

The real ones in CFB know if someone throwing money at you, spend the *****, and do it to win. ****. I feel like I lost years of my life on this ****.

Thank you herbie.

How are so many of you shocked by this article?

Did you all really believe that UM cared even the slightest about football? You all actually are surprised by Blake’s answer?

I think I’m more stunned at everyone’s reaction, as if they thought that UM was even semi-competent at athletics. This should not come as a surprise to any fan who has had half a clue for the majority of 15 years.

Dan Lambert has now gone on record:

These on the record comments are equivalent to breaking the bottle on the table and looking at the bar saying, "I'll cut you bïtch". Not surprising given what he does for a living: interacts/deals with some of the most intense, direct, and volatile personalities on the planet--more than one willing to finish any conversation with violence.

He put this interview out there for effect..to try and shape pending action/inaction... as in the same as what resulted from Herby Herb's national dressing down of our Hurricanes several weeks past. He's Golden Canes and not BoT, but don't be surprised if he didn't have outright encouragement, or at least unspoken approval, from a BoT faction. Certainly the more genteel BoT members will eye roll and tsk...tsk, but this guy probably wasn't on (nor ever cares to be on) their Christmas card list. It is important to note that while saying the things Lambert put out can make certain audiences feel good on a visceral level, understand that he isn't a program decision maker (an influencer sure) and those thay are (either sinhular or group) may push back in ways he didn't expect or desire. Buckle up buttercups.

Jackson naming players who have flamed out could also be further message sending (Manuela can't run a program) or it could be he's just being a "call it like I see it" journalist. Fascinating though that mostly what he puts out is met with substantial derision on this board, but when he releases something the mob wants, he's not met with the same scorn.

Where we are today is it seems there is overlap in all the different messaging, but there remains some very different themes as well. In the end, someone is going to be right with their insider info amd someone is going to be very wrong.

Appreciated. I've criticized Beta Blake for years and it's definitely easier now to talk about things since more people are able to see what a massive problem he was.

I don't "love" making these posts and ripping my own alma mater, but what are the alternatives?
Yeah I hear ya. I knew he was hot garbage well before he decided that we didn’t need to do a coach search last go around. Even when we hired Richt u knew that he didn’t know what he was doing and just went with the safe bet. Hopefully the next guy has some big hairy cajones and takes out the trash

Yes. I’m surprised that his answer was on that level after working in Athletics for years.

No, that just showed he was really bad at his job. I couldn’t fathom a guy with many years experience on the job giving that hollow answer.
That is an unacceptable answer for any profession where you have a leadership role. He either didn’t care or he truly thought mediocrity was okay. Either is not good enough for the players or fans of this teams.

After seeing that answer, I don’t believe that he’s a good fundraiser. He must be tapping into gimme donations. No way that someone lazy and flippant like that can be approaching the maximization of donations.

Who was the AD that hired Randy Shannon? Pretty sure it was Paul Dee right? You could argue that the precedence in hiring two coaches in waiting in your own ranks led to this.

All I’m trying to say is someone who was thought to be a competent AD like Paul Dee did the same thing, hired clappy and slappy.

Your argument holds no water, but like I said, he’s gone so, whatever.
Your rambling made no sense. Those were poor hires by Paul Dee.....doesn't make your argument right.

Have a great day

If skill always followed from "years of experience" then we wouldn't be in the position we are in.

Many people spend many years doing **** the wrong way.
ALWAYS be suspect of anyone exhibiting poor performance, who defends themselves with "I've been doing this for xx years".

Length of time is often mistaken for competency. Take our Canes' OL unit as an example.

Bruce Feldman is finally on board with firing Manny

Again, Manny is gone and the decision has been made. A tremendous amount of success, which he’s obviously fallen woefully short of, would have to accompany the way he’s handled himself behind the scenes. People concerning themselves with the last couple games are foolish. Root for our boys (like we always should) and hope they utilize the last couple games to cement the bonds and love they have for being blessed enough to wear the uniform. Part of me feels for Manny as anyone who’s been dismissed or moved from a position knows it’s not fun. On the other hand he’s handled himself like an *** to many good people who could have helped him along the way. As I mentioned in posts a couple months ago he broke promises in which him getting the gig were dependent on. For that I and JF and others have no mercy.

Perhaps, I’m a minority but I don’t feel bad for liars who put kids in dangerous positions to save their job. Even though there are more situations but how can anyone not feel terrible for King and his career. Infuriating. **** Diaz. He, his daddy and certain fat pieces of **** on the board robbed the University millions hiring this asswhipe.

Happy Thanksgiving.

First, it was a joke, though I am a HUGE fan of an on-campus stadium. However, even I will admit that the new dorm next to Eaton, coupled with the inability to dig down past 6 or 8 feet, have likely killed forever the dream of an on-campus stadium. HOWEVER, if Miami keeps building new dorms AND we were willing to relocate WestLab, you could tear down the Mahoney-Pearson complex (including parking and the cafeteria) and combine that with the empty lot on Granada...

However, I would also point out that the on-campus stadium, in George Merrick's ORIGINAL plan, was going to be where Lake Osceola is. Which, of course, is not actually a lake, it is just a super-widened canal.

Second, there are two perfect sites NEAR the campus. The first is the dirt mall directly north of Magic City Casino. The second involves the 8 square blocks directly east of the Marlins' stadium. Obviously, either one requires vision, money, and some help from City of Miami to write bonds.
Here’s your on campus stadium location. Just need some major bucks to buy up the Riviera Gold Club
