When confronted by the university he declined to offer more information. That smells kinda fishy to me. Could be a sick ploy to save his job.

At least the third thread on this
Doesn't he have a buyout in the 12 million range?
As pointed out elsewhere, the UF athletic administration undercut McElwain's comments and made him look like a whiny fool for even bringing up the supposed threats.
That lack of support would've never happened with Spurrier or Urbie Liar.
The current AD has zero ties to McElwain.
Lose to Georgia, South Carolina/Muschamp and the worst Semenhole team in who knows how long — all of which is a real possibility — and the Turds will have a new coach by December.
Didn't Florida make it to a couple of SEC championship gamez recently? Don't think he getz fired after this season.
He's not getting fired at the end of the season. UF has $12 million reasons why he will stay at least through the 2018 season. Plus, from a perception standpoint, it will look terrible to potential future coaching candidates to fire Mac after one bad season after winning the SEC East twice. Especially with the suspensions and injuries... he'll get another year.
Add to that as we all know, Gators fans obsess over recruiting rankings so anything that will jeopardize their beloved 2018 class will not be tolerated - even if that means holding onto Mac for another year. They'll push for him to shake up his staff first and then reassess after the conclusion of the 2018 season.
I'm just hoping he's still around for 2019!

Getting fired is worst case scenario for us. I want him to squeak out a few more wins, maybe make uga game interesting, beat chump and dumbo and earn another year of a train wreck season. WAnt to see a slow circling of the drain rather than a fast one
