Fletcher in '26

If Martinez can’t latch on, than Fletcher is going to have an even harder time.
Fletcher was 1b last year and then kinda won 1a by default this year.

Is he okay with going back to 1b next year? Or even lower? If yes, than bring him back. He’d be a solid #3.

so did Ohio State just not want him to commit here?

i know if’s were fif’s we would all be drunk…
but i have a nagging suspicion if he would’ve been a bucknut he would looked at like one of the best backs in america

is it the development of rb’s here since Willis if we are being honest
or do we just expect ever south fla running back to be Frank Gore


like who has really improved in our system since 02 at rb?

Should he go pro? Absolutely not, he hasn't proven that he's a day 1-2 pick, and IMO nobody should be leaving early without a fairly certain landing 1-3 landing spot. Will he? Who knows. The more pressing question I have is whether, if he does stay in college, is he staying here with Pringle climbing fast, possibly Lyle, and Brown, plus whomever we add in the same backfield? Tough to say, we gave him plenty of opportunity but would he get more NIL somewhere else?

Good heavens what haven't you guys learned over the last 15yrs of the NFL draft and Miami players? Fletcher will never be a NFL back and that is fine, he is a solid college back. He is a great young man by all accounts I will always root like **** for him but he is very limited. Why would he carry some high NIL tag to stay? he has 0 pro future.

a player should only leave 1st maybe 2nd round money.. NIL money is more than 3rd round money nowadays..
 
I was reasonably confident that Martinez was an NFL back and he hasn’t been able to stick(I’ve also heard there might be more there than football)

I like Fletch but don’t feel he’s a better prospect than Martinez was. I don’t think he leaves early in hopes of being a late round pick when he can get paid to be here. I’m not sure what happens to Brown and Lyle.

He'll be back. Mario seems to love him and will pay him more NIL than he likely gets in NFL so why leave early like Martinez and risk it?

Love fletch overall but my biggest gripe is inability to break any big runs (20+ yards) unless he breaks like 4 tackles. Just lacks speed which puts all the pressure on the QB for chunk / explosive plays
