None of know how good this kid will be in 2-3 years. What we do know is that we need bodies at the position and we seem to always strike out late. This staff is accepting what we consider to be mid-tier guys early as the keep hunting the sharks. Nothing wrong with this strategy. If we win big we can drop players. If we suck balls again, we at least got some decent guys already in the fold who probably won’t flip anywhere else because they don’t have a ton of major options.

Do you want to be just good enough to win the coastal every year or win a national championship? Bama and clemson ain't just getting productive players. They bringing in elite nfl athletes.

You’ve got to walk before you can run...

You don’t immediately get to that level of getting blue chip recruits stacked up until you consistently win 10 plus games topped off by big time bowl wins.

Especially when we don’t have bags

Ivins probably ruined his diapers. He has to be the one to announce everything new or he feels slighted at times.
He has to be first the sign of a narcissistic personality but it is good for us as he does provide useful information quite a bit. Throw him a fish for ego and he will go through a wall for it. I say this as a long term practicing psychologist with a masters.

The talk is commonly about south Florida recruits leaving the area a lot but Texas ain’t no better in terms of keeping talent home either. Certain recruits can be had from there.

Facts bro. This is what I'm saying. Obviously stick with pulling mainly Florida croots, but with the big 12 being straight trash outside of OU and maybe Texas. We could grab some kids from over there.

Common denominator??

Teams in Texas have underperformed for the past 3-4 years while these current recruits were growing up leading them to look for success elsewhere
