Not sure. Most of my football knowledge comes from a former Penn State LBer named Mark Donofrio and he told me the key to safety play is simple- can he play safety?
**** I will never forget one goal line stand defensive formation .... D'Onofrio put like 6 guys AT THE BACK OF THE END ZONE ... behind the goal posts. Opponent had the ball on the 1/2 yard line and over half of the defenders were protecting against "the deep pass". Simple play .. hand off and take a step = TD. What an absolute freaking idiot.

think it was against Georgia tech. someone has the still shot of it.

For those paying attention, that more than likely puts to bed the possibility of flipping DJ or anyone on that tier for this class...

However it also tells you one of two things for the 28 class. Either we already have commitments on hand OR we feel good about people like Wright...

Here’s what we’re all missing from all this.

There’s gonna be a ripple effect take place in college football over the next 3 years. When Miami was down, the guys we have locked in for ‘27 would be suiting up for:

Ohio State
Alabama
Georgia
Oregon
Texas
Oklahoma
Notre Dame
USC
Michigan
Tennessee
Clemson
Texas Tech
Penn State

Among other big schools with big pockets.

You’re gonna see a drop-off from the above teams because there’s only so many recruits that are on the level of the guys we’ve landed. Their depth just won’t be able to match our depth when it gets down to the end of the season. Meet us in the playoff? You better have a healthy team. If you don’t, your 2nd-3rd string is gonna get dusted every time they get in the game. Our backups are all high 4-star, even 5-star guys. This is how Miami dominated the sport when they were rolling back in the golden years. Their best players were better than your best players, and their backups were miles ahead of your backups.

That is what is taking place right now, as we speak. When Miami keeps the top Florida talent in Coral Gables, that’s when they branch out and grab the best players from Texas, California, Illinois and the rest of the south.

And now, here we are. Back where we belong. Back to being the most hated and feared program in college football.

Many have not accepted it, however, they will all be witnesses this year.

Time to go make them all believers. Whether they want to or not. 🙌

Obviously I'm sure you got the above info from your legit sources inside the program, but wonder why that person(s) perspective is so different relative to D$'s video earlier today specifically mentioning that everything he is hearing around the program is that DJ is still in play as our top 1-3 priority?

Regardless, he would be a cherry on top of an already crazy class and not necessary, just thought the differing POV's were interesting.
