From the 247 podcast:

- All schools made their final presentation to Frances and his family yesterday- he and his family are back in Hawaii.
- The family has cut off all communication and plans to regroup and discuss over the weekend.
-The feeling is that Mario has a long standing strong relationship with Frances and his family which will hopefully mean alot in their process.
- It does appear to be down to Miami and Tennessee with Bama trying to get back in the recruitment. Gaby doesn't know how much of a factor Bama is but they can never be discounted.

- Gaby also said he doesn't think the family will tell anyone, none of the schools and including the CBS Sports people who are setting up the live commitment, what the choice is. The family seems to want to keep it under wraps. It could be a situation where everyone finds out as he announces.
So nothing until Monday? Copy.

I could stand losing this kid to USC or Bama.

But not Tennessee... They don't offer anything we don't.

I know certain kids just get a certain feeling sometimes but if it's close between Tennessee and Miami, he has to pick Miami.
Totally agree with you Yoyo82 with respect to Tennessee. The only reason to go there is if their offer is the highest....and that's only if money is the thing you care about the most.

I could see Francis going to Tennessee and being bored & miserable (with terrible allergies all the time). They offer far less than us in virtually every category.

Miami is such a vibrant & cosmopolitan city that's a gateway to the Caribbean and Latin America. Much much bigger economy and jobs that pay more than a paltry $30,000 per year (sorry Knoxville but that's not hot). Miami is also a much more beautiful city with beautiful green ocean waters & white sandy beaches.
Football:

1) Miami at its best: Five (really 6) MNC over the last 40 years. Best team of all time in CFB history. Countless first round picks and Pro Bowlers. Likely more HOF inductees over the last 40 years than any other school. Most years during the last 35 years, we've also had the most players active in the NFL. Two best safeties of all time (Sean Taylor & Ed Reed). Best MLB of all time: Ray Lewis. #3 RB all-time yards gained in the NFL (Frank Gore). The list of standouts at both levels goes on & on & on. Good players play elsewhere. Legends play at the U.

2) Tennessee: one MNC in the last 70 years. Yep: the prior one was in 1951 or 1938 or something. Peyton Manning played there but did not win a MNC. Bunch of rabid fans that pack the stadium because there's absolutely nothing else to do in Knoxville...and it helps shield them from the excessive pollen when they cluster together.
