We’re not exactly going to be sneaking up on teams this year. National expectations actually match fan expectations for once.

True but feels like teams are always up for playing us. Whether it’s the hatred or motivation from the coaches or the players or both, teams just love kicking our ***
It’s because we’re a brand. It’s why TV still loves us and why conferences are still interested despite us being very average for 20 years.

I lived in Orlando when UCF beat a pre-Saban Alabama team. Didn’t matter that they were like a 4-7 team that year. All that mattered was UCF beat Alabama.

This is a forgotten intangible that goes against us. It does seem every team we play is highly motivated to beat us. High effort usually beats talent and we rarely sneak up on anyone on our schedule. We need to flip this to "fear" and "intimidation" where teams are afraid to play us.

No doubt. And that U evokes a lot of emotion no matter what

You can tell when we play certain teams and you hear their coaches talk and I’m like yeah that dude grew up in the 80s and 90s ******* HATING Miami 😂

Those old Miami teams changed the culture of college football and let’s face it, there’s a lot of folks out there that aren’t “for the culture”.
