This is a forgotten intangible that goes against us. It does seem every team we play is highly motivated to beat us. High effort usually beats talent and we rarely sneak up on anyone on our schedule. I lived in Orlando when UCF beat a pre-Saban Alabama team. Didn’t matter that they were like a 4-7 team that year. All that mattered was UCF beat Alabama.
Those old Miami teams changed the culture of college football and let’s face it, there’s a lot of folks out there that aren’t “for the culture”.No doubt. And that U evokes a lot of emotion no matter what
