$3M MORE than what Nike is offering us would be an absolute monster deal, probably one of the biggest in college sports. Nike pays schools pretty cheap.

This year FSU got $4,400,000 from Nike, Alabama got $3,570,000 and Ohio State got $4,164,014.

On the flipside Adidas pays big, $8,200,000 to Michigan this year, $7,500,000 to UCLA, $6,375,000 to Kansas, $5,550,000 to Tennessee.

Auburn and Maryland are getting $4,300,000 from UA.

Nike is the top tier brand.

ASU just got 33 million to switch to Adidas.

What happens when Miami gets more and people still think they are poor?

What happens when Miami gets more and then the Admin still refuses to pay Gorlden's buyout?

It only matters if we spend it on athletics (football), it is bullchit if they spend it on the hospital or some non-athletic purpose.

No debate there, but we will get a lot more outside of Nike when it comes to the dollars and cents part of sponsorships.

They should ask your beloved Coach L what he thinks about this. Apparel brand is much more important in basketball recruiting than football

And basketball and baseball.

I agree. But it doesn't matter unless we spend it wisely.

I was shocked when ND switched to UA.

I don't really think it matters too much in football. I actually think Addidas did some real cool things with unis this year with AtM, UCLA, Louisville and TAMU. Yeah they don't have a big portion of the market but they're obviously trying to get into it.

What's the big deal? Nike also has made some horrid uni designs.

Think y'all are being a bit dramatic. Adidas is still a huge brand. Derrick Rose, Dwight Howard just to name a couple

Exactly. Nike makes some really nice stuff but they also make stuff that is terrible. Adidas is also not nearly as bad as people think. Louisville and A&M unis were dope and A&M had my favorite unis of the year when they went all white with a chrome logo. LOVED that uni.

I'd love to get involved with Under Armour, but there's no way they want to be involved with the ACC going foward I'd imagine.

Before I comment, I would like to know more about the financials.

So maybe Dapper or someone else with knowledge can answer the following.

1. How much do we currently make with Nike?

2. How much of that is a base versus from a split?

3. What kind of split do we have currently (Nike gets X and we get Y)?

It's not all financials but I would love to know more about the financials.

Anyone

Just looked at the list of adidas sponsored schools and there is not one elite team, nor one elite recruiting team. Miss st, Wisconsin, Nebraska, UCLA, thats about it. I seriously think this switch would kill recruiting

Texas A&M, Michigan, and Louisville are all addidas schools to. Tennessee has been for a long time but is about to switch.

UCLA, Texas A&M, Tennessee and Michigan all recruit at a very high level. A brand switch won't kill recruiting but not switching coaches will.
