Ferman reporting the money is now there to get Mario

Some of us don’t slurp Mario. We do want the 7 million to get the best coach available which wouldn’t be Mario. And I am thinking 7 million a year. Can we modify the offer?

LOL that you read the OP and thought it said anything at all about 7 million.

One more time for everyone in the back: MARIO IS NOT LEAVING OREGON FOR MIAMI. His situation there is 10,000 times better than the situation at Miami, better resources, more money, high ranked recruits. What would make any of you think he would leave that? Because of the hotbed Florida recruits? The ones that flip flop more than a pair of sandals? He’s doing just fine in Eugene. He doesn’t need the headache of trying to piece back together this mess

If he is smart he stays where he is at. If he makes an emotional decision then maybe we get him.

Also a much easier playoff ride next year.

Oregon is likely to dominate the PAC-12. Oklahoma shot its wad this year against LSU. The Committee will wan5 Someone different next year if Oregon holds up its end of the bargain.

At 6-7, Miami signed a better recruiting class than Oregon. Miami is still a step up from Oregon.

it is true that Oregon doesn’t have the recruiting base that Miami has. They have to go down to SoCal like UW does. But facilities, admin, money, etc., Oregon is better.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Shanny's buyout is minimal. Flake is incompetent but the bot has successful people that didn't get there by being stupid in business, especially if some of them weren't sold on Shanny being the answer.
And I guarantee those successful business ppl know that guys like Manny rarely get better. It's not just the record you're looking at. It's the little details. The lack of preparation. Things like that.

They know he will be fired eventually, so why wait ?

Someone who claimed to be in the know tweeted its still $8-9M...
That's surprising but supposedly Carol was ready to pay 10 last year, also I read here today he's only making 2.6 million and I had to look it up, it's true. Diaz is supposedly making almost a million more!

Seven figures? I did think that was seven million. If the seven figures is a million, what’s the point? It better be a big seven like seven million per year. A million is an upper class mortgage number.

Makes no sense if the Zo rumors are remotely true. You don't then try to go get Luigi and tell him that Zo is running the show. The Zo situation seemingly only works with a cucked head corch currently in place, imo. THEN Zo brings in his own head coach eventually and that power dynamic is established during the interview process/job offer.

On paper we signed a better class. But what if Oregon only went after players that fit their needs and what they are looking for? Dabo just started out recruiting us in the past couple of years, we’re they not a better team than us even though we had better recruiting classes? Oregon has Nike money, better facilities, and he can run the PAC. I’m sorry dude, but Oregon is the better job currently
