Its not James, its Strawley, she is the COO and directly in charge of football operations.

This is a myth. Blake owns this debacle. No one except for about 5 people knew anything about Strawley until Pete's Tweet. She does paperwork. She connects the dots between sports, she doesn't have the power to hire a coach. In fact, I bet dollars to donuts that if she was in charge of hiring she would have, at a minimum, conducted a search more than 2 hours. This is on Blake.

Blake did the Richt and Diaz hires, but he is not involved in running the dept. in the slightest.

It's on her bio that she's directly involved with football and there is an article saying she is part of the hiring process. She is a HUGE problem
 
If he isn’t announced 48 hours after nfl season is up, then he isn’t coming. I expect changes to start between day after bowl game and first week of January

What else would he be involved in? I mean he hired a bum coach in Diaz, that alone should be a fireable offense. Also, he's the one making statements to the public about the program. If Flake is just a puppet, this Strawley chick is even less. She has zero power. Just another person toeing the company line.
 
Blake is the HCIC. The buck stops and starts with him. The trustees aren't happy and he knows changes need to be made. CMD will be making changes. The next few weeks will be very interesting in Coral Gables. Status quo won't get the current administration or staff past 2021.

While we're purely speculating, wouldn't surprise me if they wait until after the bowl game for any staff/admin changes.

She is a glorified Secretary, bro. She makes sure the trains are running on time and checks are cleared. Things like that.

She has no real power over the football program. I mentioned it in another thread, but LSU also has a woman in the same exact position. It's an operational position.

She is not the reason Manny was hired without an interview.

She is not the one who brought in Enos. Or Barry. Or Blake Baker.

She is not the one who will hold any of these coaches accountable for this past season (actually, it appears nobody will do that anyway).

She is not the one who extended Golden and Richt.

She really is a nobody in the larger scheme of things.
