Ferman - "I can confirm Strong wants the Miami job"

GF just said for the second time that Strong wants the job. This goes in conjunction with another rumor from a poster that read:

I'm sitting in my company's Board Meeting right now and one of our board member's son is Mark Robinson, Dir. of Football Operations at FSU. Mark shares an agent (Jimmy Sexton) with Charlie Strong. I'm naming names because of the general skepticism people have of "sources". To be clear: I'm not saying Charlie Strong has interest in the Miami job. HOWEVER, I can confirm directly from his agent that Charlie is EXTREMELY unhappy at Texas. So take that for what it's worth.

This same poster said as of now Butch is a no.

This further begs the question from anyone who might know - what is the timetable for this hire? If it's December (which I kinda hope it is), I suspect all the Mario/Chud talk will die down as we actually have an opportunity to pursue real candidates who are currently busy running other programs. Anybody have any insight?
 
Fernan is a troll but with that said I have also hear that Charlie is unhappy at Texas

also, being "unhappy at Texas" doesn't equal "wanting the Miami job" if that's the only criterion he's using to make this leap of logic...

If I was Charlie Strong, I'd be unhappy at Texas too. He loses a lot and his recruiting class for this year is a joke. Why the **** would we hire someone like that?
 
That Ferman might be a complete piece of ****, but he's a click generating machine. What a load of BS
 
There's a lot more truth to this than you guys think. That doesn't mean our admin won't completely blow this and hire Chud regardless.

The names connected to the program that are being tossed out now. Will be very far down on the board when it is close to making a hire. What we hear now is drool from retards that no nothing about the outside world.
 
I am very luke warm on Strong. No so much cause he's black, I mean I don't care what you look like as long as you can get the job done. Its just that I am not sure how much Teddy Bridgewater affected his resume. Teddy is obviously a really good QB. I mean dudes playing well at Minnesota. Yet, despite having Teddy, Strong never won his conference. Furthermore, he had Hurt as his recruiter, a guy who doesn't give a **** about committing violations to get players in. And then there's the body of evidence at Texas.

So I am just not sure about Strong.

Reported by ESPN both Strong & Franklin "laughed" when asked about the Miami job. I can't wait to see who's laughing when Butch gets to unleash aqm, chad, & Norton on the nation next year.

Idk maybe because he has no booster support, all his upperclassmen tried to sabotage him because they're Mack Brown's guys (see the 9 players he kicked off the team when he got there) and that job absolutely sucks. Texas isn't cool anymore, Vince Young isn't walking through that door. A&M is THE program in that state now with Sumlin and what Manziel did there.

Strong isn't a good fit there and never will be. He's a much, much better fit for Miami.
