Im of the opinion that it would be a failure of this staff to let the bye week turn into a QB competition. That would be wasting a week of prep time. Pick a horse and run with it. Im of the opinion that it should be Jake Garcia at this point.

I don’t disagree. But I was pointing out a way he could still start next game. Reopen the competition next two weeks while you still install your offense for next game. If he beats Garcia ride with him. If not you at least gave him a shot to redeem himself.
