Nice work… as far as EJ’s numbers go a 4.38 40 almost always translates to much faster than a 10.8 100. That 100 time must be from early college maybe even HS

Alright CIS, there was a dude back from around 2000 that was a RB recruit that converted from baseball and was supposed to be an insane athlete... J.R Mounts and I think he was from the Keys. Never played here but before recruiting services were good, he was hyped as a 220 pound back with 4.2 speed.

Yes I agree. I just can not find anything on him from his high school or any other track times. Maybe someone from that area or went to that high school can find out. EJ just said he never ran any slower than a 10.8. With a 4.38 speed I figure he would be a 10.6 at least with that 220 weight. EJ was big and fast and killed it in the NFL.. Hall of famer for a reason. Frank Gore was a 4.4 before his injuries and ended up at 4.5 at the NFL combine.

Who do you have on your list? Guys that once they got into the open field, they were gone.

Little used Al Shipman was a burner back in the day. Tony Gaiter was very fast although I think he was moved to WR.

James Jackson before the ankle injury, Frank Gore his freshman year was lightning quick! James Stewart could pick em up and put em down!
