Fall Scrimmage #1 Thread

I want to know who the qb's were going against before I get to high or low about this.

It was 1's (Offense) vs 2's (Defense) & 2's (Offense) vs 1's (Defense)

This makes Travis homers 6.9ypc even more impressive.

Homer got that Dalvin Cook sydrome. A legit home-run threat, but buddy needs to hold onto the ball.

Defense wise, if Owens is back, we gonna feast. And what's up with Finley? Dude came outof nowhere today.

Before we crown Rosy on stats:

“The bulk of Malik’s yardage and TDs were situational,” Richt said.

He averaged 22 yards a completion. Threw 3 TDs and no picks. Thats a positive scrimmage. Practically everything Richt outlined before the scrimmage other that starting from the 25 yard line would be considered situational.

Who was kosi facing? 1st team defense.

Our front seven second unit is arguably as good or even better than defense we will face in our league this year.

Regardless of who was facing who, I think it's pretty clear the upperclassmen separated themselves today.

Which goes back to why I was wondering if Richt would Redshirt Perry if he's not named the starter.

Didn't seem as likely at first, but if he doesn't perform better in the 2nd scrimmage I wouldn't be shocked to see that happen at all.

I hear you, Fin. I'm just saying, one scrimmage and positive stats don't necessarily tell the whole story.

I prefer Rosier, because he's a 4th year guy that has actually played, but I think I'd be cool with Evan just based on the feedback from the players

No way on Perry---not this season. I know he is the chosen son by the fan base, but ****'s no

Next season? Sure

Like I said, it's extremely hard for a freshman QB to overcome the learning curve the QB position demands.

I value Evan's accuracy and efficiency. Numbers can be a bit misleading though, don't know what defense these QBs were facing and what offense they were running with.

Shocking! A freshman QB just coming from HS who hasn't been on campus long enough to know his way around without asking for directions has not fared well against one of the best defenses in the country. Some fans will jump of bridges now.

Dude no one knows much until FSU game. Our starter, whoever that is. Could light up the first two games stats wise and bomb f
FSU. Gotta wait till conference play and see who steps it up

After this scrimmage, this board will tell you Nkosi is not ready to be the starter this season.

However, if in the next scrimmage he has a day similar to what Malik had today, he will automatically go back to being the chosen one, Nkosi da gawd.
