Fall Scrimmage #1 Thread

I have been in the minority on this one from day one but I stand by my early prediction that Rosier will be the man.

Even was 10-14..Which is probably exactly the type of line the coaches were looking for. He's im sure just as much in this race as Malik after todag.

Sherrifs also had a good scrimmage. That efficiency is solid.

First scrimmage, Malik had a good day, hard to tell by the stats, don't know if it was 1's vs 2's, blown assignments, etc. I'd really like to know who the DB's were on the TD catches as well as who was on dline. Happy for the offense, not so much for the secondary. Also wondering if Thomas had any catches.

I'm on the Malik Rosier wagon all day long. I think we can get it down with this dude.

This is the guy we need to go with this season. Bring Perry along slowly. Dude just got here 2 months ago---no way he's ready to lead this team to anything meaningful

We can win with Rosier long as we don't rely on him to win games. If he can take care of the ball, pick up a couple of first downs a game with his feet, and let his playmakers do the work, we'll be alright. Give Perry the Bridgewater treatment if he's not ready. His time will come.

We don't need Rosier to win games. We just need him to limit turnovers, rely on a powerful run game, and for him to put the ball in the hands of our playmakers so they can do what they do. Also, say what you want about Rosier, but he showed in the Duke game that he's not afraid to take shots downfield. He didn't play scared. Those were a couple of the takeaways from that game.

Perry is a guy that might be able to win you guys later in his career, but he is for sure not there now. We can't waste this defense on perry this year. No way. This is a championship caliber D.

Malek Young is the MVP of this offseason, he's had a pick in **** near every scrimmage going all the way back to the Spring.

The only thing the D struggled with last year was forcing TO's. Young clearly has an amazing knack for getting to the ball. He's gotta start.

Before we crown Rosy on stats:

“The bulk of Malik’s yardage and TDs were situational,” Richt said.

People here are so funny , nobody wanted Rosier before . Now it's his job because he had a good day.

I'm on record saying I'm cool with the guy who performs best during competition , which until today nobody has. ES and ML are the favorites , nothing has changed . This was Perrys first live action ever at this level against the ones , I wasn't expecting much. He'll get better with snaps.

This is far from over, there's still a ways to go.
