Some observation notes from Lake and Gaby:
DEFENSE:
-Leonard Taylor was taking a few reps off the edge with the second unit There is definitely alot of cross training going on for both sides of the ball.
-Tyrique getting alot of looks at STAR; Daryl Porter was getting some looks at nickel corner. Couch getting looks at outside corner

- Seemed like Kam Kinchens was getting a lot of first team looks with Avantae Williams. There is a rotation that also includes James Williams.

-
The first team defensive line for a portion of practice that we could watch was: DE Jahfari Harvey, DT Jared Harrison-Hunte, DT Darrell Jackson, and DE Akheem Mesidor

- The second team defensive line that we could see was: DE Mitchell Agude, DT Jake Lichtenstein, DT Antonio Moultrie, and DE Chantz Williams

- There's alot of mixing and matching at Linebacker:
The first team linebackers appeared to be Corey Flagg and Waynmon Steed

- Caleb Johnson was primarily working with the second team while we were watching. Chase Smith getting some looks at MLB (maybe a sub package?)

OFFENSE:
-
TVD puts on a clinic with his ball placement

-The first team receivers appeared to be: WR Frank Ladson, WR Key’Shawn Smith, and WR Xavier Restrepo.
- In RB drills, Knighton takes first reps with Chaney taking second reps

- Jaccurri Brown had his best day in the net target drill.

Some notes and observations from Shodell:

- Avantae and James Williams working at safety together for some drills, and Malik Curtis also getting reps

-Bissainthe, Chase Smith and Frierson on field together today,- STAR/OLB combo as team works around reps against different passing looks

-Jaden Harris got reps in James Williams group

-A lot of time spent on RB routes today.... no details given but looks like they have a big role in new offense

Is everyone in agreement that, whether it's Agude or Harvey on this line, that is a very solid 2nd unit (specifically, in passing down subpackages)?

At least as it relates to ACC play, we should look far better against the run and in the 2nd half of games. And, as the season wears on and teams inevitably deal with injuries, we'll have guys who can play ready to go.

Kudos to the staff that didn't settle for a bandaid and a prayer via the transfer portal.

Wow you need to go back to school and learn the word Sarcasm. The second part is true though.
