Fall Camp 2025 PractiSe 7- Thursday August 7

Brother...I love you...and if you look at tbe hard data...and I'd bet tje data freaks here are nodding in agreement (or prove me wrong...)

I said it last year, "watch what happens when X can't bail the O out..." and look at what happened, especially GT and really at Syracuse.

In fact, drop Xs circus catch rate to 50% last year, I'm not certain "CFB's #1 O" is on the team that reaches 8 Ws...

Seriously..
Probably 40,000 posts here talking about how good X is/was and how much the offense would miss him

So don’t give me that nonsense like you’re making some kind of revelation

At this point the only logical explanation is you’re trolling me so my response to that is:

Last night in twitter spaces he said ( not streeter but his sidekick guy)

Ray Ray, Chance Robinson and CJ Daniels would be the 3 starting WRs vs Notre Dame

Every single media person has a different view on how things look
Where is all this rayray propaganda coming from?

I have nothing but respect for all those guys. But I’m blessed to have some unique access. And I can say that any list that doesn’t include Toney is incomplete.

Friend I wouldn't troll you...I'm telling everyone...

I believe X was a significant part of the 3rd down magic (he was essentially the singular 4th down desperation savior)

IF our Canes need those heroics again and no hero is to be found...watch out below...

Ray Ray sure as **** hasn't even shown a glimpse he can be 1/2 of X...so we are now Bonnie Tyler Holding Out For ain't we?

I suppose the Legend Of Lofton will convert 3rd downs. Good plan. We have 40,000 porsts extolling how he's William Wallace of Greentree.

There is a reason my prediction is rate, well published here, is in the 80%+...

Data are what data are...and Mich St says hello

So we had the #1 offense in the country last year and had the highest 3rd down conversion percentage by over 6%

Because…

X made circus catches to bail our struggling offense all the time?

All the other “elite” offenses out there were converting on 2nd down but we had to **** around and get X to bail us out?

@OrangeBowlMagic that’s it

This is the one I draw the line

That’s the last blatantly retarded 2024 offense post I’m gonna respond to I’m on to Notre Dame!
Easy now friend.

Know what's missing from 25 Spring/Fall camp porsts that aren't missing from Xs 40,000 porsts?

I'm willing to eat crow on this, and happy to do so, but I haven't read nearly the descriptors of "body control", "amazing grab", "jaw dropping catch", etc of the current WR room that X simply made look routine.

Maybe Toney is just flat out a shifty route runner, burner, or just magically gets open in space. Maybe he's everything X was at the same age. We better hope its one or the other.

It doesn't matter if the new room is getting used to Beck or they are young players amigo. If that special capability X brought every play is not in this room right now and our Canes end up needing it, its going to be amfembian meltdown city by October and you'll be burning the midnight oil writing the next great From the Bench Press to inspire us out of the funk.

That legit sounds like insanity.

Jojo is elite if he doesn’t get dinged up on every other play.
Toney and it isn’t close IMO
CJ

I’m not buying the Robinson stuff for the same reason people could leave Jojo off a list especially when Robinson has actually had serious injuries.

X was amazing. And I think you're underselling Arroyo, George and Horton conversions. We had closers last season.

I feel Beck will have enough options to convert. Whether that's Daniels or Lofton or Toney or Trader or one of our RBs (they're pretty good receivers), I think we'll make due.

Will someone catch a 4th-down pass while butt clenching the turf? Maybe not. But hopefully our defense isn't giving up 40 PPGs to anyone with a pulse and we won't need X's heroics to win games.

My thesis is predicated exactly on this thematic and I've been banging the drum since early last season.

It absolutely takes a total effort for the team overall to succeed.

Its just, when the team needed the play, right now, or they go home with the L, the ball went to X over and over again.

That was not a good position for our Canes to be in. It was imbalanced.

It ultimately ruined the 24 campaign.

Do we have the pieces to backfill the loss of this critical capability this season? I'm just not convinced until they prove otherwise.

Question:

From what we have seen on the field to date from Ray Ray, can anyone say they are confident he will make a meaningful contribution to this year's O?

Don't tell me about potential.
