Meant less conversions wit regards to sacks.. cam bailed out the oline on a bunch of plays people take for granted.. he gets knocked for "hunting big plays" like he was just chucking it down field when we actually barely went deep..

Rewatching games Soo many almost sacks got cleaned up by him.. we get spoiled.. I know the "more efficient" narrative gets thrown around now for #1 offense so I get it..
I should have read through all of the comments before my reply above... There is no doubt that Cam avoided what would have been sacks due to the OL, but I think he also created many of his own due to holding on to the ball too long. I think he got better as the year went on, but for the first half of the season he refused to throw the ball away; sometimes that lead to big plays, but other times that lead to sacks, INTs or near INTs.

If he isn’t a statue, why does he keep snap chatting girls pics of his obelisk?

Supposedly Beck is also much quicker to do a check down if the primary reads are not there. Much less likely to get the scrambling, buying time, exciting big plays, but also a lot less likely to see him forcing plays that result in turnovers.
A great example of the difference between him and cam would be that Duke game where cam made that scramble throw that deflected off the Duke guy into x’s hands for a td. Beck probably checks it down there lol

Is Ny Carr hurt? I’ve heard about CJ. We’ve heard about the competition between Tony Johnson and Mali. I’ve heard how great Moore has looked. We hearing today how Ray Ray in the mix for slot. I’ve heard how Upshaw has been impressive as a freshman. I’ve even heard a little Chance buzz.

I be heard almost nothing about Ny. Seemed like him withdrawing from the portal meant they expected something from him. So it seems odd to hear him not even mentioned even with Jojo being hurt.

What is not a good stat from certain contexts?

I have no clue what you just tried to say
Miami having the best 3rd down conversion rate...

Ok...from some lens...good...keeping drives alive...

Ok...bad because more elite teams are just converting on 2d down as they chew up the field...

the biggest concern was how Miami converted those 3rd downs...I suspect it was heavily skewed towards X's heroic circus catches...that just isn't sustainable y-o-y...if the O needs that this year....uh oh amigo

I'mnot as concerned with transition between Cam to Beck.

Even if 24 Carson shows up, as long as revivers hold on to the ball, should be more than good enough to get Ws

Georgia would have been much better if his pass catchers held on to 15-20% of tbe catchable passes they dropped.

You’re not serious about literally any of this

If you are it’s the dumbest ******* thing I’ve read maybe ever

TVD got sacked less than Cam. We were 15th in sack percentage with TVD (3.60%) and 31st with Cam (4.40%). Cam also led the nation in time before throw.

I don’t agree with the efficiency stuff, though. Cam was the most efficient QB we ever had by far. But he inflated our sack numbers a bit.

This is CIS, you've read dumber, c'mon now!!

I'm serious as a the plates you lift friend...especially the over reliance on Xs circus catches to get the O out of deep trouble last year.

Great if 25 Miami doesn't need that, but...

if they do and don't have someone who can 1) get the ball to the guy and 2) the guy males those impossible catches over and over...

ooof dah

I said it last year, "watch what happens when X can't bail the O out..." and look at what happened, especially GT and really at Syracuse.

In fact, drop Xs circus catch rate to 50% last year, I'm not certain "CFB's #1 O" is on the team that reaches 8 Ws...

So we had the #1 offense in the country last year and had the highest 3rd down conversion percentage by over 6%

Because…

X made circus catches to bail our struggling offense all the time?

All the other “elite” offenses out there were converting on 2nd down but we had to **** around and get X to bail us out?

@OrangeBowlMagic that’s it

This is the one I draw the line

That’s the last blatantly retarded 2024 offense post I’m gonna respond to I’m on to Notre Dame!

Brother...I love you...and if you look at tbe hard data...and I'd bet tje data freaks here are nodding in agreement (or prove me wrong...)
