Fall Camp 2025 PractiSe 1- July 31st

I hope you are right about SMU. If I can make it to that game I will go.
It really just comes down to understanding what lashlee does. As long as you ramp up your aggression and play disciplined with gap integrity it shouldn't even be a close game. Just need the backers to handle the middle of the field to take away underneath options and limit tight end play. At receiver they don't worry me at all. Typical lashlee game plan. Power run combined with misdirection

I know hes good, but hes not Cam

D needs to be better regardless

dont kid yourslef judge, you're a tremendous slouch (Caddyshack)
To be fair this time last year Beck was viewed as the better prospect than Cam. Cam was viewed as a mid round pick until he got to Miami. I don't think we will get the same level of play as Cam but it's possible we get the best version of Beck who could be 3000+ Yard 30+ TD type of QB. If he plays 12+ games I could see a possible stat line of 3,400 yards 34 Total TDs 10INTs

And I am biased for Nickel after watching him play live and on TV the past 2 seasons. I just think he processes information so fast that the transition from high school to college won’t be too much for him.

I will contrast him with someone like Air Noland who I watched play live as well. He certainly looks the part, hence the rating, but he never seemed like the quickest decision maker on the field; in contrast to Nickel who isn’t as tall, doesn’t have as big of an arm, but just made play after play after play.
I don’t doubt it. I was hoping for this as I have no confidence in what we have sitting in the room.

I’ve been to PSU for white out games against Michigan. Been to OSU. Some big games back in the day in Miami etc

That **** in Blacksburg during Enter Sandman is some other ****. The Sandstorm thing in South Carolina is criminally underrated vibe as well
Never played in South Carolina. But played a night game against VT and yeah that enter sandman just hits different. Only similarities I've encountered at the college level come out of the big 10. Couple of really wild spots

Seen them both in person. Nickel is different. Quick processing and moxy. Air had issues with navigating the pocket and getting to his 2nd read at times.

Got no concerns at all for Luke. While his arm doesn't pop per se it's plenty live. He can make the throws you want and it's important to remember he's still a kid. Now he's in a college weight room and getting proper nutrition. His frame and his arm will be developed far beyond how he came in. He's already got the arm strength as we saw with him throwing 60-70 yard bombs consistently in his highlights. But it's different to throw a deep ball than it is to throw outs and digs etc. With a season in the weight room I think he's gonna be a game changer. He's literally what stopped us from getting Julian Sayin who seriously impressed me as well. So I expect us to see sooner rather than later what he can be.

Key to beck is establishing all levels of the field. Main key for me is tight end play as he needs to know he's got a reliable out in all instances. Keeps the pressure off him. It's what made him so good at UGA when he had Bowers to keep him grounded.

That's all well and good, man, but I'm currently scheduled to go to that game. And, that's the type of stuff a Miami football team cannot overcome. If I travel to watch them, it's absolutely necessary for the worst outcome to occur. If we're 7-0 headed into that game, I may lock myself in my house.

I’ve been pleasantly suprised with everything around Beck. ACC Media Day, our media day, and today post practice. How he performed today. Even the off field stuff.

The amount of negative he had entering here, nothing in these last months had really matched that.

I was fully ready for “rusty” or “limited just for precaution”. Hearing none of that is very encouraging. Even the leadership, very encouraging.

Pete said this morning Emory had his helmet on the floor and Beck told him to pick it up…

The lies that were told about that young man for months is sad to see. Buddy is locked in
