Agree on that. BUT Friday night in Blacksburg is DIFFERENT. I think the system they run is also a easy system to transition into.. I also think SMU REALLY has y'all fooled on here. I think the only thing that would've made that game slightly closer than it should have been last season is our defense couldn't stop the girls YMCA consistently. At this point SMU doesn't impress me.
I hope you are right about SMU. If I can make it to that game I will go.

Crown him

I’ve been to PSU for white out games against Michigan. Been to OSU. Some big games back in the day in Miami etc

That **** in Blacksburg during Enter Sandman is some other ****. The Sandstorm thing in South Carolina is criminally underrated vibe as well

Really need the D to step up becuase we dont have Cam to save us

Games are going to have to be won with the running game and defense
Y’all need to stop acting like Beck is a scrub. Will the passing game be identical to last year? No, but there’s more than enough talent on the roster to where the passing game should be in the Top 30 nationally and that’s more than enough.

TrumpyCane went to VT for the first time in 2016, entrance was great

Hopefully this year will be a better result

I legit have to think he could be the number two qb as a freshman given how bad the other two options are.
Michigan has a true freshman projected to start in game 1. And we see freshmen QB’s playing all over college football.
There is no reason to think that a freshman QB cannot be the number 2 at Miami. Especially a 2-time state champ in Georgia who processes information very rapidly.

I don’t know why UM supporters always seems so concerned about freshmen playing important roles when other schools are not. I’m not picking on you, just using your post as a catalyst for my argument.
So I guess I am “using” you in a benevolent manner ;)

OSU games are very overrated. It may look cool on TV, but that's only cause they can fit over 100,000 people. Considering how packed the stadium is, the shoe is really not that loud. Also, their bars, tailgates, and Block parties are very underwhelming

Most freshman aren’t the best option on their team but yes, there are some who are just more ready than others.

And I am biased for Nickel after watching him play live and on TV the past 2 seasons. I just think he processes information so fast that the transition from high school to college won’t be too much for him.

I will contrast him with someone like Air Noland who I watched play live as well. He certainly looks the part, hence the rating, but he never seemed like the quickest decision maker on the field; in contrast to Nickel who isn’t as tall, doesn’t have as big of an arm, but just made play after play after play.
