He’s an arrogant SOB so I don’t doubt his ultimatum at all. Only thing I’m torn about is who I want to see hurt more - Suckeye fans or Urban himself.

No way. They won't take a guy that isn't squeaky clean. Holtz was shady but that was over 30 years ago and the extent of his scumbaggery was not really known at the time. If Meyer is fired, he will be the next Head Coach at LSU after the Orgeron regimes flames out. That situation is far more amenable to Meyer's proclivities than is ND. He would win big at LSU without having to deal with annoying little things like meddling priests, actual admissions standards and a fan base stuck in the early 90s. Don't let Meyer's sanctimonious declarations that he is a devout Catholic fool you. He wants no part of a job he could've had in a heartbeat when he opted to takes his talents to Gayturdland.

Well right now it looks like it’s a showdown between Him and the President of OSU.

If Urbs is fired/quits it’s because he wanted to be reinstated and they wouldn’t do it.

Marvelous play by the president. He’s the guy who stood up to Football Culture or the man that wouldn’t back down and becomes a martyr. Win/Win for him.

Gotta agree with this. LSU is desperate to get back to where they were under Miles, and they couldn't care less about how they do it. Very obvious already that Orgeron isn't gonna last. Meyer would actually give them someone who can compete with Bama on a regular basis.
 
I've read nothing about possible Title IX investigations either. I would assume the Federales would at least look at this.

That’s why there’s no decision today. Either you fire him and it exposes the mouth breathers you have for alumni and they boycott you OR You keep him, show he can do no wrong, and Gene Smith goes around telling people “this is what’s wrong with football etc...” and you better believe he’s gonna come out looking like a champion.

I wouldnt feel bad in the slightest if his heart actually failed one day, instead of being a coward and running away from another mess he created. One less scumbag in the world
