The bigger picture is that it's that type of conservatism by the university that is the reason the football program is not where it should be. Briles was clearly the better hire and we didn't take him bc of past allegations. We let him go to our rival. I remember the days when Miami did whatever it took to win. No other prominent program plays by the rules but for some reason we do.

Exactly. FSU is a huge mess, and the culture there is rotten to the core. Bringing in an assistant that helped foster a culture of rape, to a university with an already rotten culture, is asking for problems. Briles has a great offensive mind, but good luck getting the idiots at FSU to understand it. They are too busy beating down women to study a playbook.
