Everytime i try to stop watching the canes..

I check on MIAMI scores on Saturday, but right now I have Comcast and no access to the games and sometimes now, it’s just well. Really miss good Miami football. I kinda thought it was over with the Fiasco Bowl. Wish I hadn’t been right.

Last year's bowl game was the first time i didn't finish watching an entire game since the 80's. Thats the closest I'll ever be to not watching.

I'm with you, and I'm 23 so I never really saw the glory days

Don't remember the *** **** picks post.....just curious, did you get a lot of upvotes?
I remember asking politely for a voluntary permanent ban because I couldn’t take it anymore @DMoney and I think @SFbayCane would not provide the ban and said You have to suffer with the rest of us so then I posted **** picks for about two days and still nothing. Moved on to *** ****, nothing...not even a one day ban I was ****** ****ed how I was being ignored . I eventually gave up ... there was not an upvote option at the time. Miserable times man.this created the beginning chapters of Bleak Visions and I have learned to use it as therapy

Don't apologize for being a fan.

Anybody that wants to jump ship was a fair weather fan anyway.

Idgaf what our record is or how bad things may be, MIAMI IS MY MUTHA****IN TEAM!

I'm never gonna stop supporting. Call me a homer IDC, I'm Hurricane fan & I'm proud of it.

Ive been with this team through our highs ( early 90s and early 2000s) and our lows (Mid to late 90s) and basically the last 15 years.

I will always go to the games and support this team. I love college football and hate the season is so short.....

I wear my gear proudly even when Im traveling cause for the **** rival teams will talk I still get 2 or 3 people randomly in the airport that will flash the U at me.

I became a fan years before Jim Kelly played at UM, and bought season tickets for Kelly's senior season and renewed them for 22 straight years.
In 1987 my family ridiculed me for leaving my cousins wedding reception where I had changed clothes in the bathroom wearing Canes attire and took off to see us play the Hokies.
For 45 years my priority has been the orange and green, have lived to see us reach greatness and have felt the pain of not being the elite team we were. And like all us old Canes fans I'm still waiting for the return to the top of the college elite... to be in contention to win another NC and be a perennial top 10 team again.
I hear ya and feel ya brah🙌🏿

We thought you were just expressing your inner self. :congratulatory:

Seriously though, Golden's last (half) year was beyond anything I'd ever seen as a Canes fan. Banners flying over an empty stadium for every game. That **** was surreal.

And rightfully so, Truth be told, they still should be flying fo his *** even at Detroit games, that **** and his boy were morons!

Been a CANES fan in Texass since the beginning of the 80's. My friends, family, and anyone within a 10,000 mile radius of me during a CANES game feels my passion and loyalty to my team. Idgaf about nothing but this U. It can get a lil scary around me sometimes(most), actually. I put a :neonu: on my groom's cake years back and my ex-wife hated it. I perma-banned her ***.

Agree with upward trajectory....only question is, does lack of bagginess on our part limit that trajectory?
That good sir is the 64,000 dollar question.unfortunately imo lack of bags puts us out of the top tier competition. It’s a real conundrum.

Lucky you....When donning my UM Gear at the Airport, I still get people randomly flashing the Middle Finger too me...

Why would anyone even try or want to stop watchin da Canes? Don't get it.

Maybe tired of losing? Still, it'll make the rise back up better.

I remember years ago watching VT pull off an upset at their place. Their fans were going crazy and I was kind of shell shocked after the loss. Kevin Everett dropped a wide open TD. Seeing how excited they were made me realize how I had taken all the winning for granted. I hadn't been that excited about wins for years, just expected them.

So in a sense, it's like real life. If everything was always great and perfect, it might seem that way, but you'll never have the same joy or sense of accomplishment as you would had you experienced some of the opposite.

Truth be told it’s been an emotional roller coster of high lows and lower lows for the better part of the last two decades. I think everyone here has become somewhat numb to it. Most everyone can remember what it’s like to be good, but none of us are willing to accept just good. Beating Notre Dame was the canary in the coal mine. We moved to number two and EVERYONE knew we weren’t a very good football team as far a Miami standards were concerned. We all just keep watching, waiting and hoping this time we found the right guy. It feels like calling into a national radio show each week “I’ll just hang up and listen”... We hope we finish the regular season at 10-2 and play someone in the orange bowl... and win. Hopefully, until we lose another and lower our expectations. Eventually we all start thinking about next year and recruiting. Rinse and repeat
🙌 Go Canes

Almost forgot, I’ll see you all Saturday, blue lot. Don’t be late....

I think the worse part of being a fan is when you tune into a game late and we are winning and as soon as you turn it on, we fumble or the other team makes an incredible play and you feel like you jinxed our team. Having sat through the 58 straight home wins I should never feel that way, but I do. Hate that feeling though.

Oh God I forgot to tune in, Oh good we are ahead, WTF!

I know a Golden Cane that can hardly watch a game, he walks the corridor’s or goes to the men's room thinking any bad play is his bad karma.

Be honest now, I am sure others have experienced this feeling.

I was a 20 something year old crying like a baby after UW broke the streak. I swore I was the bad luck charm. 1st time I sat with my boys , in the wez, away from the family.
