We thought you were just expressing your inner self. :congratulatory:

Seriously though, Golden's last (half) year was beyond anything I'd ever seen as a Canes fan. Banners flying over an empty stadium for every game. That **** was surreal.
I still went to every game that year!! Ugh!!! Spot on!!

Man I'd hate to see what some of you would do if you were a fan of a team that's actually bad. 7-6 is considered an atrocity here. It's a resounding success at a fanbase that's actually had it bad. I think that maybe I considered not renewing my season tickets once or twice but never seriously.

Been a fan since the '60s, so I've seen some bad times, but also a lot of grrrrreat times. Never thought about giving up my fandom, but I have used some choice words during games as well as throwing some **** "near" the TV from time to time. Bad enough when this happened at home, but the Taco Mac bartender wasn't too happy with me that one time.

Don't apologize for being a fan.

Anybody that wants to jump ship was a fair weather fan anyway.

Idgaf what our record is or how bad things may be, MIAMI IS MY MUTHA****IN TEAM!

I'm never gonna stop supporting. Call me a homer IDC, I'm Hurricane fan & I'm proud of it.
LC you're one of our top posters ... but I'm sure rooting for the U has shook you a time or two. My wife has seen my anguish once too often, but I'm still here.

I've been trying to quit the Dolphins for a few years now. Thought last years Carolina game I'd be able to make the switch since I live up here in SC now. Couldn't do it. Now I just brown bag it and watch out of the corner of my eye. Quit the Canes? Never. Pops was taking me to games in the seventies and now I'm trying to get my son to as many games as possible. Gotta pass that addiction down thru the genes.

I understand not wanting to watch the Rosier QB'd offense of 2018, or any of the D'onofrio defenses, because they were just pathetic and boring, like watching the Dolphins. But this team is different. They aren't going to win the national title, but we do have plenty of talented players that are fun to watch, and they show you flashes of what could be now and then.

Watch college football every Saturday but I don't watch Dolphins games anymore. Still follow the team and everything but can't be bothered to spend 3 hours locked inside watching them go 8-8.

Graduated in 73, sat thru some pretty gruesome football until the NC years. I know that things will always get better, even when everything is going to ****. I believe that we are on that upward trajectory again. Never lose faith in CanesNation🙌🏿
Agree with upward trajectory....only question is, does lack of bagginess on our part limit that trajectory?

From my family tree....

I was born a CANE... WIN or Lose? If you was to hook that IV to my veins and it will bleed ORANGE and GREEN!

P.S. - The love so deep y'all before I change my ways, I had K.O. and lost couple of friends over this from running their traps back in the day.
TRUE STORY!

I became a fan years before Jim Kelly played at UM, and bought season tickets for Kelly's senior season and renewed them for 22 straight years.
In 1987 my family ridiculed me for leaving my cousins wedding reception where I had changed clothes in the bathroom wearing Canes attire and took off to see us play the Hokies.
For 45 years my priority has been the orange and green, have lived to see us reach greatness and have felt the pain of not being the elite team we were. And like all us old Canes fans I'm still waiting for the return to the top of the college elite... to be in contention to win another NC and be a perennial top 10 team again.
