Evan Shirreffs QB

1. What's his decision making skills?
2. How strong is his arm?
3. What level of competition does he play against?

Jefferson quarterback Evan Shirreffs was named the 8-AAA Co-Offensive Player of the Year after leading the Dragons to a region title and a state quarterfinals appearance.
Shirreffs shared the honor with Hart County quarterback Cameron Fouch. Elbert County defensive lineman Ken Allen was named the Region 8-AAA Player of the Year. Elbert County linebacker Tim White was named the region’s defensive player of the year.

“He was the leader of the huddle,” Jefferson coach Ben Hall said. “We had a couple of turnovers in that game and his ability to keep the offense together and his ability to create (helped) when things broke down in the game.”
Shirreffs’ consistency and composure led Jefferson to its first undefeated regular season since 2009 and its third consecutive state quarterfinal berth. This season, the 6-foot-6, 197-pound senior led the area with 2,693 passing yards with 23 touchdowns. He completed 70 percent of his passes with two interceptions.

“He’s a perfectionist, almost to where he wants everything to be just right all of the time,” Hall said. “That’s the reason he’s a good player. He has good size and ability, but his drive to be great is the reason he’s such a solid performer.”

Well, it could be a lot worse than this I guess.

Al is back where he started -- no qb in class so he takes whoever he can get. If you take getting lucky on Kaaya out, Al has been a complete bust on the most important position QB.

these ******* ******** want to complain about scholarship reductions and clouds, yet they'd use a schollie on a no-star QB?

Do any Georgia folks have intel on this kid?

I see a 6'5 pocker passer with decent athleticism with a rocket arm. He doesn't get to his second read the entire highlight, but he has too many tools to be under the radar.

He's Georgia's version of Ryan Stanley.

Don't understand how he was lucky with Kaaya but whatever.

Hey, im not hating on this kid due to his STARS. Look at the tape! Kid can play. There are sleepers all over the place in recruiting, there are tons of reasons for it. This guy maybe couldnt afford to see him to those QB camps and 7on7 circuits where your name gets circulated. But he looks nice, hopefully he could come in and become another Camp body to throw, who knows what else down the line.
