Nick Monroe does still make a lot of sense for same reason he made a lot of sense last year. He was CB coach and Co-DC at Minn when Heatherman was there. He's still that there this year...

I went down that rabbit hole last season. He would be a great hire but I think Minnesota is his dream job. His Dad coached there when he was growing up.

Fleck is getting paid over $7million dollars and in 9 years there he has only had one season with 10 or more wins. His last three seasons has gone 22-17. Including some bad losses to B1G cellar dwellers Purdue, Rutgers, Northwestern (twice)

Who knows?! Everything I’ve read seems like he is a loyal, genuine dude. Great recruiter & teacher. Exactly who Mario would target outside of maybe age. We have the money, recent success & an improved room. On paper, the interest should be there. (Especially w/ Fleck uncertainty) Never know but great name to kick around..

No panic here. I totally trust Mario will give Heatherman the autonomy to bring in the “guy” Heatherman needs and wants. I think Heatherman has earned that trust from Mario. We are in a good place.

My only complaint with our CBs is I would have liked to see them make more plays on the ball but that’s digging deep to nitpick. The overall product was great at the end of the day.

As long they end up bowling somewhere with warm weather and beach, with an occasional upset of upper tier conference team, they are good.

I would be completely fine with this. He’s worked his way up the ladder, landed a big SEC job on his own, in-state rival.. plus was a great Cane. Sign him up.
