Etheridge gone?

It’s a catch-22. Under Golden, Manny, etc. nobody wanted our coaches which tells you the state of our program. When you make the right hires and you’re successful everyone starts coming for your staff. On one hand it’s validation but it sucks because you do like to have continuity.

That’s why Mario sells the program and himself as the HC as being constants.

At the end of the day you want players and coaches who are hungry to push themselves to the next level get the best of them. Hopefully like Saban at bama Mario can keep finding quality coaches that will take a very nice room and keep it rolling

Getting to a place to where continuity is nearly impossible is where you want to be. Coordinators will become head coaches, position coaches get NFL jobs or promotions in responsiblity. Saban worked Bama staff to the bone ala Mario and there was a revolving door there - It's a symptom of a top program. Beats the **** out of the SEC snagging our assistants that showed any promise in prior years, or no interest in our staff alltogether.

Any lack of continuity with position coaches in 26 should be made up for by having two returning coordinators. One of them being in place for 4 years. We'll have seniors that don't know any other offensive system.

You would think these schools see what Indiana did as losing program and just jumped over them and commit to winning.. I dont get how Dave Doeren is still at NCST either, what a waste
I think sometimes either programs dont know how to hire, or they do but there are no culture builders or anything. Difficult asf to find a HC at the right time as well. It's probably they dont know wtf they are doing, just try to find someone from that **** Saban tree, start there.
