Randy is not head coaching material at a P5 school. Mid major maybe. Best suited for coordinator job. He has no people skills. No desire to rub elbows with boosters.

Funny, prior to the Florida gig, the Defensive “genius” couldn’t find a Defensive Coordinator position anywhere since leaving Miami. Will be interesting where he ends up after Florida.

Shannon no shot at that job. Someone has to be named HC for the rest of the season and its him. I'm sure no one else there has HC experience anyway.

I speculated that earlier....who would want this job? Doeren would probably choose a better situation, It would probably take a significant contract for Frost to come and he’ll have to rebuild the roster to play his system unlike Arizona or Arizona State.I don’t see Campbell coming from Iowa State to UF especially with him being from the north and having relationships up there already. Who does that leave? The Memphis HC? Morris from SMU? Really can’t think of anybody...
 
UF hired those 2 because Foley liked cheap, younger coaches at smaller schools. Think Billy Donovan from Marshall to UF.

He only went after Muschamp and McElwain those times. No one else was considered.
He didn't even hire Urban Meyer. That was the UF president who had just left Utah.

Mike Gundy was begging for the job when they hired Mr Teeth.

I'll take that job if nobody wants it. I'm only working 3 days a week though and y'all can name Chan Gailey or someone Head Corch in Waiting.

They're 3 best option are:

1. Mullen
2. Babers
3. Kiffin

All three would be an upgrade over McEltoof (except maybe Kiffin), and all 3 would actually want the job and everything that comes with it.
 
UF is exploiting an opportunity that McElwain never thought would occur. by espousing the death threat false narrative now he has lied and thus breached his contract. UF must be liking its chops bc they can fire him without paying the buy-out. lawyers need to be sure they can do so otherwise it will cost a lot more. anyone have McElwain's contract? should be public record

Would be too good to be true. On many levels.
 
They will pay him something. I think they are trying to get it reduced. I hope they keep him.

If he's lying about death threats & creating other fake news to the media wouldn't that give them CAUSE to fire him under the contract?

LOL.....Speaking of liars, Kiffin has probably been calling them propping himself up for the last 2 weeks. He'd run thru a fire to get out of FAU.
