They've been fantasizing about it on GatorBait. We have it captured in the Gator Tears thread. They think they'll get him over his alma mater because of the recruiting position hed be in at UiF. Mike Norvell from Memphis is another name they've floated.

Also, people are still claiming that Frost would hold a grudge over Nebraska taking no action against Lawrence Phillips for assaulting his girlfriend. Never mind the fact that Lawrence Phillips is dead, and every Nebraska coach and/or administrator who would have been involved are now long-gone.

Shannon's defense is good.

He'd probably know that if Butch came, Butch would probably want to keep Shannon as DC.

Butch never hired Randy as his Coordinator.

With the trouble UF is already having with their players, I don't think they'd want to throw the baggage that butch davis brings into the mix.

Would be too good to be true. On many levels.

Be careful what you wish for. Kiffen is doing a good job so far. And, he’ll hire coaches who can coach even if they’re controversial.

And, I’m sure he likes Boca better than Tuscaloosa or Knoxville. I really don’t see him as a college town coach.

If Frost goes to Nebraska he might be a UCF candidate.

He'd be the perfect coach for them actually. He has that Spurrier jerk/douche factor that perfectly mirrors their entire fanbase. He'd recruit like a demon. He'd put together a a coherent staff like you mentioned. The only mystery is whether he'd win games at that level again.

Almost these exact words were used to project his success at USC. Exceeding an extremely low bar is much different than meeting championship expectations. But, maybe he's totally changed. Will have to see it to believe it.

I doubt it. He's a bum, and he would ever SUCCEED at UF.

He's a poster child for privilege. Dude has been mediocre to bad at every stop, but he keeps landing on his feet bc he talks a good game.

Bum? No, he can coach, and is a great OC. He lasted almost 3 years with Saban.

Mediocre to bad? Oakland was a joke...i’m not sure if I can blame that on him, though; why he ever took the Tennessee job blew my mind. Horrible fit. USC...joke definitely on Kiffin. As I mentioned before, he did a really good job at AL and he’s winning at FAU; undefeated in conference.

I really don’t know what a P5 will get with Kiffin the head coach, but he can call plays and he can recruit.

All three would be an upgrade over McEltoof (except maybe Kiffin), and all 3 would actually want the job and everything that comes with it.

2. 20 LB's coached to the NFL. Doubt you'll find a "better option" if you just ask him to develop LB's.

Unfortunately, it does not look like Diaz will reach the levels that Randy achieved as DC. While Diaz has been good and definitely an improvement over Golden/D’Onfrio, I am not sure if Diaz would ever be an elite DC because he can be over aggressive
