ESPN ranks Top 10 QBs in College Football

I think the insanity of leaving off Mensah is he would be at the very top or in the top 3/4/5 of almost every statistical category for QBs vs this list in 2025. He's keeping his number 1 receiver from last year AND adding the 2nd best receiver in the country AND upgrading his OL astronomically AND adding the best RB pass protection in the country.

Like...it's very, very hard to make an argument that Mensah won't end the year in the top 5 of every statistical category there is.

We beat 40% of that top ten. Then 4 more quarterbacks on their list (Mestemaker, Stockton, Manning, Maiava) lost to teams we beat as well.

Sorsby went 7-5 last year and Oregon lost twice to Indiana. Dante Moore looked terrible in the blowout loss in the playoffs. Sorsby is 13-17 in 30 career starts.

TrumpyCane was adamant we don;t get sorsby

He was terrible last year against teams with a pulse outside one game

1. Drew Mestemaker
2. Darian Mensah
3. John Mateer
4. Gold All On My Chains" Trinidad Chambliss
5. Kevin Jennings
6. Demond Williams
7. Brendan Sorsby
8. Malik Washington
9. Amari Odom
10. Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele
I'd definitely place 6 and 10 in my top 10

The classic dichotomy on CIS:

1. ESPN is a hack organization. I put no credence in any of their opinions.

2. I will get upset if said organization snubs any player on our beloved Canes on a Top Ten list.

How does 2 occur if 1 is true?

I’d probably go something like:
1. Darian Mensah
2. Trinidad Chambliss
3. Dante Moore
4. Brendan Sorsby
5. Arch Manning
6. Jayden Maiava
7. CJ Carr
8. JKS
9. Julian Sayin
10. Josh Hoover
11. Sam Leavitt
12. Demond Williams
13. John Mateer
14. Kevin Jennings

I’m kinda also trying to account for weapons, system, and how productive they’ll call be…

2nd best receiver? J. Smith is at OSU.

Yea and when you apply pressure and don’t give him a quick read he cooked. Then if he has to go through progression he will get into trouble. He definitely isn’t like a franchise type qb. I look for OSU to eventually adopt the transfer qb in the coming seasons like us. They won’t stay complacent with this HS QB thing imo.
St Clair looked pretty decent the other day for being a backup. If they can't win it with him then probably
