I’ve said to myself for years I was in the wrong business. I could come up with better content/takes then morons like this guy. If this idiot can get all this attention, I **** sure could.
ESECPN was already falling off, but they fell off tremendously when their greatest broadcaster left in 2014, then passed in 1015. RIP Stuart Scott, ESECPN will never be as cool as the other side of the pillow. IMO he WAS ESPN.They don't care what you or anybody else thinks as long as you pay for their service, which is what you'll do if you want to watch games.
ESPN sucks and has been steadily getting worse. So sure, overpay your people, they'll just pass it on to us and have people defending them because Clay Travis bashed them.
And this right here my friends…. is known on these screets, as the game! If you think ESPIN is going broke because of “woke”, then they’ve played you or better yet, you’re playing yourselves. Follow the money mane…. the big money.I don't really like eSECpn so I don't relish defending them but they're fine and will be more than fine- especially since they can bundle their streaming services with Disney's now.
For every layoff you hear at eSECpn there is a monster contract given to Screamin' A or Troy Aikman or Joe Buck. They're just often choosing to budget for "talent" over the hoi polloi in Bristol.
ESPN+ subscriptions increase to 21.3 million, up 76% from last year

ESPN just paid top dollar for the SEC conference to be on their network. I think they are just fine. People like Clay Travis and Jason Whitlock just sit back and pray for their downfall. And it aint gonna happen. Im not a huge ESPN fan like I use to be but to say that they are in trouble because they mix sports and politics is silly.
Its not like they are leading every segment with news from Ukraine/Russia war. (or is that not the "politics" people are referring to?..eyes rolling)
I hate when people exaggerate the facts.
A day.
This ship will sink as will all these inflated salaries.
Yeah, this is probably my biggest gripe with ESPN. They used to show sports and sports highlights. Now there's stupid discussion panels with loudmouths blowing hot air about subjects they often don't really know much about. I guess that's what gets ratings these days so it is what it is. Otherwise, I enjoy their sports programing.I miss the old days where I can put on ESPN at any random time and if it wasn’t a live game, I’d see detailed highlights from every game in every major sport.
espn has had to lay people off and will continue to have to do more. Disney as a whole won't be largely affected but espn itself is not doing well
There are 12 disney parks and they only account for a total of 16% of revenue meaning Disney could close the orlando park right now and only lose less than 2% of revenue. I'm sure there are plenty of other states that would love to give out tax breaks for them to bring 70k jobs and tourism to.Beg to differ on that point. Disney's stock was one of THE worst performing stocks on the index last year and its stock price is down by almost HALF from it's highs. Couple that with the Reedy Creek issues that are really going to cause them real problems in terms of issuing municipal bonds for funding purposes down the road and I'm honestly starting to question if Disney "will be fine."
And it's honestly a good thing. That company needs a good reorganization and will hopefully be forced to sell off some of the IP's they've monopolized and damaged.
Good luck finding a state that DOESN'T deal with snow part of the year granting that to Disney, and having that coincide with a geographical region where Disney would ACTUALLY be interested in moving to. Fact of the matter is that due to the DVC agreements that Disney has signed with God knows how many members, they CAN'T move because part of the lease agreements in those DVC contracts grants the members SPECIFIC ownership of parcels of the FLORIDA property. There are 12 disney parks and they only account for a total of 16% of revenue meaning Disney could close the orlando park right now and only lose less than 2% of revenue. It was a hypothetical in jest. Speaking of snow, i'm sure Disney would love to squeeze a few more dollars out of the frozen franchise. She doesn't have a prince suitor in the movie so she must be *** and florida can't have that.Good luck finding a state that DOESN'T deal with snow part of the year granting that to Disney, and having that coincide with a geographical region where Disney would ACTUALLY be interested in moving to. They are stuck, and Texas already told them to **** off. Disney is in for a rough patch.

Nashville actually sounds a great spot. No more standing in the scorching sun.
Have you ever walked around Disney property and thought, hey "I bet orange county or the state would do a much better job overseeing this property". Of course not.Spoiler alert, they're not moving. BOTH sides know it. There's a reason you haven't heard one peep out of them with regards to moving in response to the revocation of the Reedy Creek designation. I and my family have over the year always been huge Disney fans/annual passholders/etc etc etc and I couldn't be happier to see them put in their place.
