First, Evert is a GOOD athlete not an Elite one. Micheal Vick was Elite athlete, Golson is no where in his class. And since when does being a good athlete qualify you to be a good Qb? The guy is not all that accurate, doesn't throw with anticipation, gets happy feet in pocket and is a turnover machine.

Moreover, he is better in the spread offense that ND ran than a timing based pro style offense that FSU runs. FSU offense is suppose to be complex with multiple formations and checks at the line. That takes some time to learn so there is no guarantee he even starts. Maguire will most likely be the starter

Not exactly. Their CB depth is probably worse than ours so they need Ramsey to play CB. The freshman S just so happens to be a talented 5*.

I don't know who finnebaum is but I'm not exactly convinced by his argument. FSU isn't top ten because they lose Winston (admittedly a difference maker) and go to Clemson (that has had a track record of shytting the bed in meaningful games.) FSU will be fine.

My roommate went to ND, so I watch most of their *** games.

THE reason he left ND was issues with Brian kelly. If you read their articles on the sb nation site... he wanted a fresh start and Coaches were shocked. He did not leave because of losing the starting job. He was benched for the bowl game, but he was the undisputed starter heading into spring ball.

Also, Golson was 16-1 before the FSU game, then ND imploded. He made some big plays during that run, he wasn't just some game manager, or scrambling only QB. He has elite arm strength.

ND had more starters injured than anybody last season. like half their team at one point. Clearly Golson tried to do too much, but he isn't just some dude, Oddly enough he isn't great at read option, Malik Zaire was better at it.

Also for a kid that struggled with school, graduate school courses at ND versus FSU are a big difference.


But he might not even start, so who knows what will happen.
