This clown takes his Saban slurping to levels that even embarrass the d!ckless local Alabamy media. He once did a segment with Saban and Teblows that gave me a simultaneous stroke and aneurysm. A strokerysm. I still can't see well enough to drive safely at night and have a slight facial droop.

Marty Effing Smith. You are the eSECpn Piggly Wiggly Douchebag of the Day.

I only saw him in passing during his Nascar coverage and thought that he was just some sunshine and roses Mr. Optimism type dude trying to pull the metro angle that you mentioned in conjunction with his good ol boy schtick. Which is whatever- it's Nascar. But the dude is unbearable within college football confines. Like he's bought in to the Alabama/Saban cult to a degree that makes a Sean Hannity type seen like hard hitting journalist when covering Trump. EVERYTHING the guy reports is done from the stance of being in awe of Bama. It's actually kinda weird.

Dude can't suck enough SEC ****. He's like those pornos where the chick walks around with a remote controlled vibrator in her ***.. in this case tho it's gotta be finebaum in with the remote control. Finebaum hits the button from the studio and dude starts blabbering sec this, sec that bull****. If this dude appears on my tv screen I hit MUTE immediately. I don't want to hear anything that comes out of his mouth

Just another SEC hillbilly employed by eSECpn. I know college football is popular in the south but you'd think it was a sister fu*king contest the way espn constantly panders to redneck fans. From the corny *** country-fried college game day intro music, to giving Finebaum a national TV audience to suck off Saban, to idiot reporters like this bumpkin. Hey ESPN, it's not NASCAR. There's a pretty large audience that can't stand this country shtick.

I blame the Big Ten for allowing it. Bigger alumni bases and more wealthy institutions than the SEC yet they sat back and ceded power to the South. College football is not huge in the population centers in the northeast and the ACC was too busy trying to stay Carolina power-centric and jerk off their basketball influences to wield proper influence. Texas was content with trying to do their own network and the Pac-32 will always be late night entertainment. So it was up to the Big Ten behemoths to stop this nonsense but their presidents were too busy trying to put up a faux academic facade whereas the SEC schools jumped at the power grab while their teams were actually winning too. It was a joke that they were able to install a wannabe good ol' boy that was always L$U proud even when he was at Washington in Emmert and that Mike Slive pretty much had equivalent powers to him within football.

This is all a discussion for another day though. I think Marty Smith is due to deliver a piece about Alabama players giving back to the Tuscaloosy community any minute now. He'll somehow relate it to both his dead daddy and Nick Saban's hardscrabble upbringing in Bumfuk, WV. Have your Kleenex ready. Someone may be cutting onions.

If Dabo can get Golden cannned and knock Saban and the ESPN/SEC suckfest off its high horse he may go down as my favorite non-Cane human being of all time

Agreed. The BIG10 had the chance to throw their weight around (along with Notre Dame) but they said and did nothing while espn slowly became CMT Sports network.

This gave me a 2nd strokerysm. And this **** airs during normal game telecasts- not just on The $EC Network during Finebaum commercial breaks in between spots for Bojangles. I can't even remotely imagine the outcry if another conference insinuated it "means less" in the $EC than it does in their league.

**** Dabo with a splintered telephone poll. At least Saban doesn't pretend he's not the devil.

until u realize he will take over for saban at Bama...and espn will suck off corch Dabo...who likely will be mor e annoying...as he is Marty Smith as a coach.

If Smith is on i usually just change the channel ...but the lil 5 seconds is annoying enough....but no one...no one...is worse than Tom Rinaldi. League of his own...that ghey lone claim to fame in sports is as a hand ball coach...wtf?. ESPN alone grinds my gears
